The Shayari and dancing needs to stop. Every episode there is either an OTT dancing or an OTT Shayari. Seems like Bhavna does not have the ability to write mature conversations between a mid aged couple so she just keeps adding dancing and shayaris in MaAn scenes. The original had loads of heart to heart conversations. Bhavna can at least copy paste.

Anu's shayaris were so out of place. Who recites a poem sitting at the edge of a cliff knowing your husband has fallen from the cliff. Lol I would have at least tried to climb down the cliff regardless of the danger it posses.

CA is a very irritating and unrealistic character. She has not a single characteristics of a kid. Her attachment towards Shahs is so cringe. I like the child artist but sorry her character is a big NO.

The writers can't let go of the fact that Anu was once a Shah Bahu. Even in this tough time she is concerned about Baa Bapuji's medicines. Like WTH.

It's so sad that the serial which was supposed to be a fight against domestic violence has ended up glorifying domestic violence. The only thing consistent in this show is Anupama's devotion towards Shah family when all she should have had is downright disgust for them.

I happened to watch the epi on Mon after months of not watching it. Each scene was so disconnected and silly. Why does she start dancing just before leaving the house? Weirdo!! Their romance is cringeworthy. Not to forget the stupid banter about exchanging voice notes while doing pooja?😳😕

Good to see you after so long. I have always said OG AK died in the first accident. This version of him is merely a shadow of the original. Are we really surprised though? They have butchered their titular character to such a level where people feel she deserves the treatment she gets from the Shahs. Compared to that AK's character graph is still far better.

Yesterday's episode was very sloppy. I had little hope that since they are competing with the likes of KBC, so we may have good and crisp episodes. They included Vanraj also in the accident 😒😒😒😒. That sheer presence of SH and their rona dhona is a headache. I Ffed all of them. I don't feel even 1 ounce of sympathy/pity for them. Even if Vanraj dies while saving Anuj in the future then also NO. As for Anupama, I seriously hope she learns the meaning of boundaries and that ex sasuraal is not maayka.

Do I feel bad for Anupama? Yes, a little. But did she deserve this? Yes, she did. She always ran at the drop of a hat to that house.

Also, I wonder whether every time AK has to have accidents to make her realize something. That man deserves better. Anyone but her.

The three most irritating characters of this show for ME are:

Babuji

Anupama

Anuj

in this order...I keep rolling my eyes so much that kissi din they will fly out at a tangent somewhere....

The show is getting cringier by the day...and Anupama's sayari was unbearable..😳

My problem is that I just get addicted to any show and I will watch it even if it kills me......I usually do not watch desi soaps.....but everyone was telling me how good Anupama was ...and here I am...😭

I stopped watching since last week because it was just plain annoying and disgusting to watch. I personally am not a crazy fan of RG or something, I started watching this show only when Anuj entered because it had a fresheness. The story was refreshing and light.

The suaveness of AK, the calm banter between GK and AK. It all felt fluidic. There was an evident growth in the characters.

Slowly and steadily the show deteriorated, plots switched every wed to get sorted by fri and every sat we had a cliff hanger. It went worse post marriage because they had no idea how to keep Shah's torture Anupamaa. The writer is a disaster is all I can say.

Kavya divorce, bapuji surgery, BB not liking GK etc etc - plots not making any sense at all.

I don't feel anything for RG for that matter, I saw couple of clips last evening. I feel her role is now limited only to cry ( and while she is splendid at it) unfortunately- it does not move me anymore. Its the same rinse and repeat. I don't see her giving any other kind of performances.

For me the person who has the most amount of performance oriented role is sudhanshu - he switches his role so swiftly be it a a cunning , shrewd, romancing with Kavya, talking with Baa, bapuji, dolly. As much as I hate him, i cannot deny the fact that his role is more performance oriented.

The story is flawed in the sense they want to drag it for years. Of course for that Anupamaa has to be shown as crying life long. Which makes for a really sadistic story line.

Coming to the current track ( only reading updates) - this is sheer stupidity and I'm sorry if anyone is liking this track. Its so distasteful. I haven't watched the shayari that you have mentioned but all I can say the show is going to the dustbin. I am rooting for it to drop like crazy.

I have my fingers crossed on YHC trying to stake the position from Anupamaa. It already threw YRKKH out.

It's a matter of time before Anupamaa will get dethroned.

Hey, honestly, have only seen it in parts. Mostly on Fastforward on hotstar.

I cannot connect the two: Anupama and shayari and that too in a situation like this.

But I attributed it to say: It's probably me because I can't seem to connect anything in Anupama.

I somewhat feel the same frustration as the show has no growth, you cannot root for the characters anymore.

Unfortunately as women most have seen or experienced violence at some point in their life. This show was one of hope for that audience of women but alas.

I understand its a business but still believe a progressive story would have made the show Trps even higher

well, i guess i'm back from my self-imposed exile, but i'm glad it's for this post. you made some really good points, hina.

when you say that Dadaji is the victim... of what? upbringing? parents? society? himself? 😆 i hate him, but im open to hearing an empathic view of his situation.

anupamaa is mostly is a victim of poor writing and a sloppy character sketch. It's hard to make any conclusions there because they flip her around so much - the only constant I see is her "bond" to the Shahs.

I don't know how Rupali gets into the skin of the character each day, cuz it seems like scene after scene is a contradiction. 😕

anyways, year-to-date, here are a couple of things that i think are the wrong message:

1) a new man can heal the damage your ex did

2) it's ok to get divorced, as long as you're still providing domestic/emotional support

3) If you are contemplating divorce, vowing to remain active in your ex's family is a way of softening the blow

4) years of a life-long crush will always culminate in a "happily ever after"

5) and the worst one : that Anuj fulfilled his purpose in life by becoming Anupamaa's husband 🤢

The writing of this show feels like last minute assignment
