Shayari? like really?

or shall I say sayari in that typical Anupama accent…

She just found out that the husbands, ex and current have both fallen off a cliff and it may be fatal and what does she do? recite a frikkin poem! like who tf does that? so darn out of place was the shayari and her saying it, when did she turn a shayar?🤔 I cringed when she said najar🤬

TBH even Anuj’s poems were worthy only when he yearned for her, now they are pretty much mundane and pointless no matter how beautifully he recites them…

Of course mine is usually the unpopular opinion but I cannot sympathise with Anupama anymore, infact I stopped doing so ever since she asked to be an integral part of the Shah family when she had no reason to…yes her children are a part of that household but she could easily manage her relationship without having the constant urge to meddle in their lives in the garb of her love for her maayka.

It just comes down to her strong and persistent need to feel mahaan and she’s ruined Anuj’s life in the process…Long gone are the days when anything Anuj said made sense or wasnt Anupamafied, he’s a lost cause and I feel nothing for his character.🥲

I have no sympathy for him, cause he is only playing a catalyst to Anupama transitioning into another goddess of sorts. I wished and hoped better for Anuj but it wasn't meant to be, he’s reduced to a mere prop now, like literally …

She can call him the hero but even she knows who the real hero is and its not Vanraj, he’s another victim if you ask me…That said, V will emerge as the hero or rather the sidekick again and will be by her side in her ordeal of bringing Anuj back to life with her undying love(yeah whatever😏) and dedication like she claims….

We will soon witness another whitewashing rinse and repeat cycle of acche pita and bada aadmi as he will kiss(forehead wali hi sahi)her woes away. Anuj na kabhi hero tha na hoga and we must stop hoping and make do with this arrangement...

I do feel bad for little Anu who is falling prey to her so called doting parents’ love to please others, Anuj shouldnt have adopted her when he knew Anupama’s heart wasnt entirely in it…he has only made it worse for the little girl.

Alright. this has turned out rather long and whingy… I’ll save the rest for another day perhaps…

Please feel free to disagree, looking forward to a good discussion!

I absolutely have no idea about this sayari.. and I don’t give a damn to any character or the show. For me only what matters is the man who plays Anuj bas ogle him.. for that I skip thru episode and just watch / hear - no listening n understanding just enjoying the voice, body n expressions- rest unwanted elements are ignored n omitted by me 🤣

As I told to sej, in t thread this paralysis track is best as I don’t have to play the episode just pause and watch .. waise dialogue toh bolna nahi bande ko toh kuch sunna bhi nahi.. good days coming up.. I wish Bhavna doesn’t write any dream sequence or get him out of paralysis soon.

Her reciting sayari was totally eye rolling. If the makers were trying to convey the depth of her connection with Anuj using a medium that he does, it did not work. In those first moments of shock, how can you show someone express their emotions in a way that isn't intrinsic to their nature.

It is difficult to empathise with any of the characters now because there has been no character development. You sympathise with someone when they have been dealt a bad hand in life and you root for them when they try to better their circumstances. But, what can you even feel for someone who doesn't try to step away from the bad to the good despite having the tools to do it. Doing so is not easy given the years of conditioning involved, but, as a viewer, you would stand behind someone who tries at least. The journey would be one you want to see. An onward journey and not a round trip that is!

Anuj's character has been rendered toothless. Far from being the wind beneath her wings, his own wings have been mercilessly clipped. Husbands can only exist bunched on diametrically opposite ends of a spectrum is the message being shown.

As for the child, Choti Anu, the girl playing her is as cute as a button, but why oh why must she be shown to be a carbon copy of Anupamaa. Does being good include traits that only Anupamaa has?

If nothing else, my take away from this show will certainly be a massacring of the meaning of the word mahaan!

this is what this show needs. a support group to dissect and make sense of what we are watching and how it applies in the real world.

well, i guess i'm back from my self-imposed exile, but i'm glad it's for this post. you made some really good points, hina.

when you say that Dadaji is the victim... of what? upbringing? parents? society? himself? 😆 i hate him, but im open to hearing an empathic view of his situation.

anupamaa is mostly is a victim of poor writing and a sloppy character sketch. It's hard to make any conclusions there because they flip her around so much - the only constant I see is her "bond" to the Shahs.

I don't know how Rupali gets into the skin of the character each day, cuz it seems like scene after scene is a contradiction. 😕

anyways, year-to-date, here are a couple of things that i think are the wrong message:

1) a new man can heal the damage your ex did

2) it's ok to get divorced, as long as you're still providing domestic/emotional support

3) If you are contemplating divorce, vowing to remain active in your ex's family is a way of softening the blow

4) years of a life-long crush will always culminate in a "happily ever after"

5) and the worst one : that Anuj fulfilled his purpose in life by becoming Anupamaa's husband 🤢

I don’t think the show or any character is worth discussing.. even worth a thought let alone writing and wasting time. As all good things come to an end.. Anuj as character has long expired it’s iTV shelf life… what left is ashes which too will blow away with time.

CC of Anupama aka Choti Anu is also just another name in the long list of forgettable characters in the show. The kiddo is cute but terrible that a kid is made to do such mahaan and OTT Anupama stuff .. unbearable.

Ali, know what - the words like Consistency and Character arc never exists in the dictionary of the writers or PH .. only TRP matters or that also doesn’t matter. Even as audience is displeased with the track, they don’t bother and on top of it, it made as the “journey of the character”

As for Rupali, I believe it’s her job, she does it and gets payment like any regular person who works to get money even if the work sucks.

@bold- I try this too Arya...blur everyone else out and sharpen my focus on that man who’s made it so hard to detach from the show completely...wish there was just scenes where it was him and only him looking sexy as always, sigh!

oh there has to be a dream sequence, where Anu will dance aimlessly and endlessly while Anuj does his SRK bit..its still a bit early for turtlenecks but yeah I wont mind a shirt with top/all buttons undone😳
