Anuj’s Proposal to Anupama

He can’t wait anymore to become “Mr Anuj Anupama Joshi “

Anuj Anu are sitting together n shelling peas when the lights go out . Anupama wonders when it will co e back . Anuj is happy to be in the semi darkness as it will give him a chance to share his heartfelt feelings

As he creates a ring out of onion leaf , he recollects for Anupama hiw she could not understand his shayari in the beginning ..slowly she started understanding them , now she too can talk in sharayi , she has started understanding him even better than he understood himself . He says these were “ pyaar ki seedi “ stair case of love ❤️ .

Shelling peas together was the final stamp of the staircase .. they have reached their pyaar Ki mandir .. the threshold of temple of love n just had to enter .
He states he has the worst track record for delaying things . So without wasting any more time , without waiting for perfect settings or moonlit night , … right here in semidarkness while shelling peas he will share his feelings .

He holds up the leafy ring n states he wants to marry her . He pulls out Anu’s hand n places the ri g in her palm .

He states this was not because of Baa’s taunts, or for society, or for children , nor because of Mukku . He was not bothered about anyone wanted to marry because he wanted to , for him Anupama was most important in his life .
for him showering flowers from helicopter was not sign of love , booking entire island to express love was not needed .
For him going to market with Anupama’s grocery list n returning after forgetting to buy half the things n getting double scolding from her was the perfect sign of love . Anupama is taken aback .
Chiffon saree in the river waters , switzerland snow , everything was beautiful n amazing but not for him, for him , for him roaming about the narrow streets of Ahmedabad, with Anupama, buying veggies n haggling with vendors , this was most beautiful moments of life for him. Anupama smiles .

He wanted to spend every day, every moment, every second with her . He wanted to tell every one that this day n moment belongs to Anupama Kapadia and Mrs Anupama Kapadia .

He wanted to see this moment arrive soon .He knew husband wife sounds very plain whereas Friend, lover, partner sounds exciting n interesting but in his life he wanted this plain moment .
26 yrs back he was going to her house just to ask her hand in marriage.

He states for him marriage has never been important , even now he lives opposite her , he can visit her any time n have tea with ehr n chat with her but now he has started feeling that it’s better to have relationship . He was loving shelling peas with her n he was ready to clean Methi saag with her . Anupama gets emotional.
Anuj tells her that he had shared his feelings n proposed marriage n p,aced the ring in her hand , he did nit force her to wear it . He had left the decision to her , she had seen marriage , gone thru turbulent times n ups n down of marriage , she might not be ready to take the plunge again yet, he was ok with that n respected her feelings n understood . He asks Anupama to feel free n take her time to accept or reject his proposal . She was free to reject , he was OK with that , he was ready to just carry on living as he was right now , being her nest door neighbour n friend , but if she agreed it would be life changing for his poor guy . He gets emotional too.

Anupama rendered speechless .
samars message informing them he had reached dance academy n was waiting for them , shakes them out of their emotional moment n they set aside the shelling of peas n their marriage thoughts n get ready to reach academy . Anupama gets teary eyed watching the leafy ring in her palm n closes her fist on it , wipes her tears .

At Shah house Babuji wants to give his matured policy of 35,000/- to Anupama’s new venture . Baa disapproves. Kavya asks Baa not to deny but hen she learns Babuji was planning to help Anuj Anu she too disapproves.
Pakhi is talking to her friends n cuts the line on hearing someone pass by . It’s Kinjal , she asks Pkhinto feel free if she wanted tk share anything because she too has been a teenager recently n understood What Pakhi was going through .

Pakhi discusses how her friends were arranging sleepover but she had refused fearing Baa’s wrath .

Anuj Anu are walking to academy, they pass a marriage party / baraat … they both feel awkward watching baraat n groom n the dancing baraaties.. Anuj Anuj gets showers with flower petals . One woman carrying Aarti ki thaali accidentally spills some kumkum over Anu and her forehead, maang n hair get covered with red kumkum /sindoor

Anuj Anu have awkward eyelock … as Anuj watches Anupama still clutching on to his leafy ring and she is covered with kumkum . He pulls out his white hanky n starts cleaning uo her forehead .

Romantic BG song plays .
Anuj tells Anu that he understood her fears , he will never want to make her Mrs Anuj Kapadia , he never want her to lose her own identity. He want her to retain her identity as Anupama . She will remain just Anupama . Anupama recollects Vanraj’s bad behaviour towards her n realises what a gem of a person Anuj was , how opposite he was to Vanraj

Anupama smiles as Anuj states he could not wait any more tk become “Mr Anuj Anupama Joshi “
He can’t wait to become her husband .

Babuji n Samar have done shopping for a function, baa and Vanraj are taken aback as they learn about Anupama ‘s birthday on the upcoming 18th .
Anuoama meets Babuji in the park and shares with him about Anuj’s marriage proposal n her fears about marriage all over again. Babuji looks at the ring n says Anuj understood all her fears n her feelings because they both loved eachother . Where there was love a path would open up automatically .He assures .

He asks Anupama to make the upcoming birthday in a really Happy Birthday .
