why not leave it to the professionals ? (unpopular opinion)

mini rant...

sigh.

i have seen this happen so many times, with so many shows over the years and now it has happened to our beloved Anupamaa.

the general consensus seems to be that no one is happy with the way things are going. fair.

im just really surprised to see so many people "quitting, boycotting, retaliating, taking a break" etc.

do you guys realize how impactful that is ? people stop watching, the PH starts meeting the audience's demands and all of a sudden a bunch of unqualified people are dictating what happens next on the show.

how entertaining is it when a show goes exactly the way how you want it to ?

my biggest question is why do we lose faith in the production house, creatives etc SO QUICKLY (like i see the ranting and raving going on in here after 2-3 episodes sometimes) when they are the same people who brought us this marvellous show in the first place?

i would much rather see what they have planned out than have them follow twitter, IG, IF etc fans who try to "dictate" where things should go...

im sharing a quote from an interview IF did with Ashish last week that sums it up perfectly :

He spoke to us about the switch from positive to negative once again, and the vibe that Aneri and Gaurav have brought on sets. About the switch once again and how does he get it right, he tells us,

''I think I am enjoying this process, and as I have told you earlier, in our daily routine, we never remain negative, positive, or grey, and we keep switching, depending on people, situations, and how life is treating us. At this point, he has tried every bit he has learnt from his father and that hasn't served his purpose, but he has those values from his father. At the same time, he is also his mother's son, and Anupama has taught him how he should be a helping hand, and more than taking, he should be giving, and somewhere in the world it will be accepted and it will be given back, but the intentions are best known to the writers.

okay, let the tomato throwing begin. 😒

No tomatoes at all. There's a few points here I guess. I am not an ITV watcher. I have however found from time to time certain characters that I have liked (usually when someone puts something on instagram). However I have nearly ALWAYS noticed a trend of the writers butchering the character.

Coming back to Anuj - he is probably my favourite TV character. He is (or was) well written. A Yin for Anupamas Yang if you must. I am a firm believer in woman working and standing up for themselves and equality. I am however not a firm believer in constantly giving bhashans ( Anupamas favourite pass time). He ground her.

Anuj was a good role model. One we needed to show a) men how to be, b) to show women how to raise their sons, c) to let women know that they can have support and be equals with a smart and clever man.

Unfortunately this track has wiped out some of that. No I do not want Anuj to be idealistic or any such. I just wanted him to be smart and for him to sort it and not Anu.

Given all of this I think it is more the fact that we all connected with a character - which are already very rare in ITV and then the fear of it getting butchered is a bit much. But to your point we got to have faith .

I think writers know how to create high points. I don't watch non-MaAn content and Vanika is literal ly a cringefest. Well that said, I think the track is good enough where it sets a stage for Anupama to confess her love. Anuj is at his lowest point now. If Anupama confesses now, it will be precious. Those who stick with you through your darkest moments are keepers.

Hey hey, I do see your point of view - we live in such a fast paced world, back in the day when we were watching serials when there was no internet/no fandom/ did anyone argue? Yes we might discuss with couple of neighbors/friends and that was the end of it - we waited for what would come next -

But in today's world - we live in the NOW with no patience - Don't know if some of you remember the dial-up internet days or DSL line days!! We need to exercise patience and see what the overall story it.

Having said that, we are not in those days, but at the same time the character assassination that's going on for both Anuj/mukku is unreasonable - they did not take time to introduce mukku and rushed that, and then the DV track rushed that and now this property toss show -

Today's viewer is somewhat savvy, some creative liberties are understandable but it does look like there is no redemption of this shitshow.

I do watch the show for their acting skills/diction, currently not enjoying the story line but trying to be immensely patient to see how this unfolds.

Is confessing love so important that for if you have to bring a person on the road? These are not teenager couple that we need this drama. There has to be some maturity.

No tomatoes at all. You raised a very good point here. My frustration is it just seems so out of blue. One fine day V is evil, next day he is supporting Anupama-Anuj, a day after he is back to square one. Malavika also trusting someone over her brother of 35yrs or whatever who she met mere few weeks ago that too through online means. She too one day shipping MaAn and next day totally against them. Audience these days do not buy such thing. This is such a serious issue where innocent people specially teens these days are spending too much time online and are being groomed by adults who they make friends with. They could have handled the track little better imo by laying it out gradually.

bringing Anuj onto the show just completely shot the equilibrium they had created between all of the characters. they cant go back now either. honestly, i have no desire to see anyone but Anuj or any story that doesnt involve him.

Good counter points. Would'nt want stagnation in a character either but I think some evolvement would be good - like in Anupama's case. She still does "Meri Baa, Mera parivaar and Mr. Shah is a good father " Jaap. And I guess Similar would like an evolvement with Anuj as well.

I think I agree with a lot you have counter pointed just the way I see it is slightly different

We all like Anuj as our suave, debonair business tycoon, who sweeps a girl of her feet not just by looks (yes lots of looks)/wealth/laal pari car, but by his innumerable qualities like kindness compassion, patience, integrity, gratitude, forgiveness, love, respect, resilience, authenticity, generosity, giving, justice, passion and of all prudence, trust and loyalty to list a few.

So makers gave us this epitome of a perfect partner and now are taking that away and showing his human side, which feels like character assassination why does this perfect man have to go thru this, he has never done anything wrong to anyone. On bandwagon of perfect, I want him to win all the time, win the girl and his sister do good for society, solve other people's problems, etc etc etc

Guess we'll see what happens, let's hope the good guy wins in the end with his love by his side.
