There are moments of frustration and venting my be cathartic. Was it Anupama s mistake that Leela s MIL chose Anupama?

All along Anupama was your Bahu, you have humiliated her. Today when you are not to celebrate diwali the way you want to is you sore point.

What joy you cannot have you are denying to others.!

I don’t understand why. I know of women her generation who chose to work to improve their status and situation and today are the most amazing women who uplift everyone around.

I’m so angry man lol

My BIGGEST issue is why did she basically leave all the financial Responsibility and contribution on her husband head. A woman even of her generation can uplift the man and be their support. Instead of being spoon fed and waiting for better days she could have decided “this is not the life I want to live forever, and for my children- my husband is trying but struggling. I will try and help him in some way to improve our finances”.

she could have cooked or done something anything to make a better life instead of expecting it be her right as she is a woman.(financially) If she chose not help in the financial betterment then she has no right to speak now.
Yes she managed the finances of the house but come on she had a MIL. Leela managed the finances even though Anupama Vanraajs wife is there then Leelas MIL should have managed the finances. Seething I am.

that exactly, and its not about progressive women of today, there have been many from all generations that helped build a family... if you cared so much for better quality of life then why wont you work towards it...its was easy for her to vent on Bapuji but she refused to believe that she could have made a difference not just by managing expenses but working to ease the pressure off him.

wasn't it you moon who once made this reference to your granny? or have I got this completely wrong?

Yes I mentioned that losing her husband at 32 she took up a job to put her children through college education.

My grandfather was drawing a fat salary of 400 in pre independent India. I see women who do their bit to supplement the family income. If she was so upset her son was working, what did she do to remedy it? How long will she carry the grudge against her MIL to taunt her DiL and Grand daughter in law?

The only reason she sent Raghav to jail is because she had best intentions for her own daughter. I know she is loud and overdramatic but at...
