Why didn't I think this before

I was watching some old epi yesterday n after today's episode it made me question something

We all wanted Anupama to move out of shah house ,we still do,me too....but where to???????

Her mother's?????

Would it serve any purpose??? I m no longer sure..

Anupama is very progressive when it comes to others but very regressive when it comes to her self ...why is that?

Just baas teaching will never change a person's core so much that she is this submissive.....

The progressiveness comes from her father n regressiveness from her mother

Anupama s father was one who gave her wings to fly but as soon as he died things changed for her .....I understand how difficult it is for a single mother to take care of her kids n her mother being all alone in conservative society couldn't do much for her daughter,how to keep her daughter protected from men when ther is no father figure anymore ,prioritising her marriage more than her studies so that it's someone else izzat n responsibility ...as she had said in one of the past episode she is the one who taught her to be doing all haanji ,adjust if anything happens ,never raise ur voice etc etc....that base has was taken by baa n developed into an invisible maid...remember that line "achi bahu sunayi nahi deti hai"

So if she would have gone back to her mother... would things been different for anu???....I don't think so ....her mothers thought process changed a bit after it was challenged because of vanrajs betrayal....she wanted her to come back only after vanraj betrayed but she knew how she was treated in the house but she never took her in then.....

Though I would say it will be easier to convince her than baa for anu n anuj relationship but u will need to convince her ....she is still single even after her husband's demise n only has her kids ,the situation can lead to two things either she might say see me even I m staying alone with kids why can't u or what will people say.....or I know what it's like to be alone so I don't want that future for u ...for this she needs to b progressive which I don't think she is...well she might change after seeing the changes her daughter brings in lives of less fortunate woman ....till then I don't think she can be any different because one tana from baa can bring her down

So am I saying Anupama shouldn't move out??? Hell no !!!!!!

I want her to move out from the circus.

But rather it would be better if she stays with devika rather than her mother

during the devika- Anupama confrontation, Anupama says you know how much love i got in this family. Obviously her Dadi saas who chose her as the bride , Baapuji, Dolly the kids have all been loving till they started witnessing and emulating the condescension of V.

Her mother must have been so pre occupied in making both ends meet so she may have been quite stern with her.

The fortnightly celebration at the shahs seems never ending work but could have been something an exhuberant person relished.
