What the hell are they trying to show?

That Anu is mahaan God? That women alone are responsible for house and work?

The way Van compared Kinjal & Kavya was disgusting

The way Van spoke to Kavya like she was less than him was disgusting

The way the writers are showcasing working women is disgusting

I can't even watch the show anymore...just reading written updates on various sites

Exactly. The way he was grinning and saying that Kavya will cook for him , make tea for him, it sounded so disgusting. And baa was smiling , like yeah this is what women are supposed to do - work all day in office and then serve their husbands while the husband relaxes. When both Kavya and vanraj will be working, why would she be the one doing both their cooking. Don't know why Kavya didn't ask him why he can't contribute to the chores if he doesn't want the maid to continue. All these actresses are working women, and yet they have no problem with enacting these dialogues and scenes where women are degraded for not being all rounders and wanting to take external help from maids.

Vanraj was always like this, its nothing new, he was is and will always be MCP, kavya after knowing this also married him, infact she had even called him chauvinist. Infact I wasn't surprised also when he said thi, we have already seen his this side. Did she expect him to change for her? If yes, it was plain dumb of her to think that. Neither did she tell him to help her in her work, why?

That what I said. Why didn't Kavya ask Vanraj to share equal responsibility towards household chores. She has many times called out Vanraj for his sexism. Yet she was shown quiet today. Why ? They should have shown her giving him a befitting reply. But I think the makers themselves believe that women who are multi taskers and manager home and work all by themselves are great. But women who try to rely on house helps are apparently bad daughter in laws and bad wives.

Both leela and vanraj still have ghatiya soch rpati parmeshwar hota hai that is why wife shoud treat husband as paramareshat and it is duty of why wife just offer food and water to pati parmeshwar

I am not talking about particular character kavya i am talking in general that in shah family wives are force to treat husband as god

But they have maid jhilmil, its just that she is on leave, its not like they don't have. Jhilmil has been working there for long time. So if they wanted to show that DIL who rely on maid are bad DIL, then they would have never shown jhilmil. The issue was not with having maid, but with taking the responsibility of how the maid is behaving with everyone. And the one brought her should take that responsibility. Kavya was not even considerate enough to guide her where she should sleep and hence she slept wherever she felt.

Also it is more about the mindset, where people think that doing household chores is a menial job or no job at all, and we do have such people in society. Kavya thinks if she does household chores her status will decline to being mere naukrani. It is nothing to do with her being working women or not.

So this maid issue is no where related to being working women or being a good DIL / wife, it is just reflecting the mindset some people like Kavya or Vanraj have around household chores, irrespective if they are working or not. Not once in her argument Kavya said that she cannot do household chores because she gets tired, but she said she doesn't want to do because then she will become naukrani by doing the work. For that matter even Rakhi dave argued that her daughter used to be college topper and here she is making chutney and doing house work. From when did your educational qualification or your academic performance became criteria for deciding whether u should be doing household chores or not. And Anupamaa has always asked kinjal to concentrate on her career and bot to neglect it for her family responsibility. Isn't that showing a positive outlook. And kinjal is doing with her own will. And they are managing together till jhilmil returns. Isn't it what we do at our homes also when maids are on leave, or go to their native place for a week or two. Yes I agree they should show men of the house also working, which they are not showing. But just bcoz they aren't that doesn't make anupamaa or kinjal mahaan. I don't know why doing household chores in absence if your maid equated to being mahaan, than that way everyone here who manages the house in absence of their maid are mahaan.

I am sure everyone here also have maid at home because they get tired not because they feel its not their job to do. So how is this a working woman issue.

And Anupama has also never managed it single handedly, jhilmil was always there, so she is no exception. And if Anu and Kinjal are not able to manage afterwards, they will show that they are unable to manage, I am sure.

Go to Foreign countries ,, all housework has to be done by oneself .. no one is available for cooking or cleaning on daily basis …. if available they are professional cleaners n charge you exorbitantly. All family members have ti share house work .
Kids are brought up by their parents since childhood and taught to share house work .

Foreign mein to chalo tabhi sabhi family member help karte hain isliye unhein maid ki jaroorat nahi hoti

But yahan shah family mein except kinjal aur anupama koi ghar ka kaam kar hi nahin raha hai

Jub koi anupama aur kinjal ke elawa koi ghar ka kaam kar hi nahin raha aur maid bhi nahin rakhenge to 7 member ka kaam kaise poora ho?

Aur reality mein anupama jaise koi akele woh bhi 7 member ka ghar ka kaam ir saath bahar job bhi nahin kar sakta hai

Anupama can ask The kids to help out … like wash the pulses, wash the veggies ,Lay the table , carrying the dishes to the dining table , after she had made the tea the boys can serve it to everyone ..boys can start the washing machine etc .. Anupama has to learn to persuade her sone n daughters to share housework ,,Samar n Toshu’s wives will suffer the same fate next .
