The episode begins with Rakhi creating ruckus in from of Shah house in full view of neighbours , accusing an blaming Shah family is brain washing her innocent Kinjal n encouraging her to elope with their son. She accuses Shah of having poor family values and is sure their son was like him only and she fears what Toshu might have done to her daughter . Anu tries to calm Rakhi saying this was not the time to fight or accuse eachother, they better get together n look for the missing children . Rakhi accuses Anu of luring her daughter n then assisting her son of kidnapping her daughter. Rakhi asks police to arrest Anupamaa. The entire Shah family stands in support of Anupama that she had not faulted , why should she be arrested , babuji states even he would accompany Anu to jail in case she was arrested. Samar too supports his mother.
Varnraj declares no woman of his family will be arrested , he confronts Rakhi that if she could file false case against them even they could file a case that Rakhi had kidnapped their son Toshu . Rakhi is shocked . She again creates ruckus accusing Van of having ghar waali n bahar waali n he had no values, his words has no value , she orders police to arrest Anupamaa .
Right then all are stunned to hear Kinjal’s voice asking police not to arrest anyone . All turn around to look at Toshu and Kinjal standing there looking very much married as evidenced by their floral garlands , Mangal sutra n sindoor . Kinjal calmly informs police that they were adults n had got married of their own free will. Police tell Rakhi that two adults have got married on their own free will they have nothing to do anymore, they depart with their team.
rakhi is furious with Kinjal and is about to slap her but Anupama grabs her arm n prevents her. She states no one had the right to slap their Bahu . Rakhi is shocked, but entire Shah family agrees.
anu states it might be the fashion innRakhi’s family to hit daughters but in Anu’s family daughters n Bahu’s were treated with respect . Rakhi threatens of dire consequences on Shah family and departs , Baa challenges Rakhi .
Anupamaa then performs Aarti n Tilak of new bahu n her newly wedded son as part of griha Pravesh rasam. Van accuses Anu of spoiling their son too much and what he did today was a result of that . All ignore Vanraj. Van gets angrier on being ignored , he accuses Anu of welcoming the son with Aarti when he went off with a girl but when he had done the same he was thrown out !! Anu states Toshu had created a rishtaa, a sacred union of marriage , for seven births . While Van had broken relationships . The two cases wer vastly different . Van is stunned .
Toshu n Kinjal then share under what compelling circumstances they had take this step . They share their love and desperation and helplessness which forced them to take this drastic step. Van Raj goes on n on berating Toshu for this step.
Anupama the retorts back n silences Van. She asks Samar, Pakhi and Nandini to escort Kinjal to Toshu’s room.
Baa asks everyone to beware that Kinjal mother was not going to give up easily she was going to plot n hurt this family again n again for the step Kinjal n Toshu had taken today. At Kavya house she wonders where Vee might be , of he had gone back to Anupamaa. Anirudh teases her that her boy friend had gone back to his wife . Kavya asks him to keep quiet as he had not rights to speak in between VanYa . Anirudh reminds her , that she was still very much his wife and Van very much Anupamaa’s husband.

Baa warns Anupama that until now she was a daughter, a wife n a DIL, hence forth she will be a MIL too , she will have ti shoulder more responsibilities. Anupama is excited about Kinjal’s peheli rasoi rasam. Kinjal offers to make Kheer for everyone n offer to them. Baa angrily accuses her that her mother Rakhi had filled their mouths with chillies now how will they taste her sweet ?? Kinjal asks Baa if she will be blamed for her mother’s wrongdoing s all her life . Baa gets infuriated n asks Anu to tell Kinjal that she was MIL of her MIL, she was elder to everyone, no one dare to confront her.
