Adhi calls Nivedha , asks if there are any love issues during her college life .. Nivedha gets angry , chides him & disconnects the call .. Anu probes .. N updates him .. Santosh is all set to oru kai parthufy Adhi .. Anu calms him down .. consoles Nive , says everything is for good ..


VJ1 in a park .. Karthik worries if their wedding will happen smooth .. Points out Niveda's case , which is an arranged marriage but the proposal didn't go thru fine .. Adds , if their parents doesn't agree , then he'll become prithviraj & snatch his samyukthai 😆 .. Prem's dad & eye1000 come to the same park .. Shree greets him & introduces Karthik as her friend .. Both men recollect their earlier meeting , abt the thiruttu nagai .. P's dad tries to make a conversation , but shree leaves with Karthik fearing her secrets might be revealed .. Prems dad concludes Karthik must be her boy friend , whom his son was talking abt ..


Niveda is headed to paati's house & waits on a lonely road to catch an auto .. Shree comes by tht side & offers to drop her .. Both reach paati's house & the latter welcomes them .. Niveda wonders how they both got to know each other .. Shree briefs the chain snatching incident .. Paati certifies tht Shree & Karthik romba nalla pasanga [just wait to see Karthik's mother .. appuram theriyum 😉] .. Niveda goes to make coffee .. Shree uses the chance & reminds paati to finish of the flashback story .. u had lot of respect for Pallu's dad , but now u don't wish to face him .. enna thaan nadanthathu .. Paati assures to update her the rest of the story , but later ..


Palluvali is in deep thoughts .. grabs one of Karthik's picture & heads out .. Tells her parents tht she is going to visit her friend for a good reason .. Reaches Anu's place .. Says she has come to talk abt a nalla vishayam .. Anu wonders .. Pallu says i'm no more interested in being ur friend & asks why can't we become relatives , sambandhis .. Anu is shocked/ surprised , enna kind of emotion paa adhu [yemma Palluvali , paiyyanukku sammandham pesum munnadi , paiyyanoda appa kitta ellam discuss panna mattiya 😡] ...

Reporting for thursday...

Anu is doing her (1 of 3 possible) expressions at Palluvali on her proposal that they should become relatives. Pallavi suggests they become sammandhis. Anu is speechless, Pallavi says she is clear about her decision (wont you ask your husband even??). She says it will work out because both Karthik and Nivedha cant get any proposals set for them. Anu is so appreciative, and she completely agrees. 🤢 Manju also chimes in that she is happy with the proposal for her sister. Pallavi passes Karthik's photo to Anu and Manju. Anu in turn gives Nivedha's jadagam to Pallavi (hope the josiyar reveals the truth). Pallavi advises Anu to think it over with her hubby, (somehow P doesnt think she needs to consult her hubby!), and asks them to be friends forever (yeah right).

P reaches home- her parents ask her what the good news is. P asks her father to see the jadagam porutham (apparently Viswanathan is good at jadagam too) for the 2 "horrorscopes". Viswanathan looks at the girl's horoscope and says its a good one and he is ok with her marrying Karthik based on the horoscope. (he doesnt know who the girl is of course). Viswanathan suggests P to bring Karthik to the temple without telling him the truth, and asks P to tell the girl's family to come to the temple as well.

RR at home, eating with Anu by his side. Anu javvu-maadhiri izhuthufies that there is a prospective groom for her. Enter Nivedha, who interrupts and says she doesnt want to get married. She threatens to commit suicide if she is forced to get married now.

After she leaves, RR requests Anu to hold off the plans. Anu is insistent to consider the proposal, and RR says he will support if the horrorscopes match etc. Anu leaves to bring the groom's photo to RR. RR at that time needs to leave and says he is ok if she likes the groom (what kind of father is he?? lousy hubby and irresponsible father who doesnt care who the groom is?). Anu leaves the photo of Karthi ok the tea table (avvaLavu care she has!)

Manju brings the photo to Nivedha and coaxes her to see the photo. Nivedha sees the photo, shocked, and Anu questions her how she knows the guy. Nivedha mazhupufies saying she knows him through his social service. She quickly leaves the room, and Anu/Manju conclude that Nivedha actually likes him. (how did they conclude this I dont know)

Shree meets Nivedha at the park, asking her why she asked Shree to meet her urgently.

Nivedha spills the beans to Shree that the problem is related to Shree's marriage. She relates the whole Pallavi story to her, stating that Pallavi offered her son in marriage. She divulges finally the boy in the photo is Shree's lover (yuck) Karthik...Shree is shell shocked.

What a disappointment!! I thought today RR would get caught, but the man escaped again.

Update for Friday, Oct 8, 2010:

Nivedha tells Shreenidhi about Pallavi aunty visiting her mother and proposing her son Karthik for Nivedha. Shree is afraid N may have blurted out something about Karthik being "her lover" (those are Nivedha's words, not mine - for heaven's sake, do the scriptwriters not know the difference between "lover" and "boyfriend"?), but Nivedha assures her that she did not blurt out anything. She adds that she doesn't think Karthik is aware of all this, and Shree tells her that Karthi's mother is not the kind to consult anyone before doing something, she just does something and expects everyone in the house to fall in line with her decision, and Nivedha tells her that the proper word for that would be "dictator" (she has taken the word out of my mouth!) At least these two girls have judged Pallu properly, unlike Sundu who keeps saying that she is "sokka thangam".

Pallu rings up Anu, tells her about her father saying that there is jadaga porutham between Karthi and Nivedha (but that foolish old man didn't even ask who the girl is!), and she tells Anu to bring her family to some temple in Adyar, and she says she will also bring her family there.

RR at work, asks someone to bring the Thoothukudy project files, reads something, looks up to find Pallu and Karthi there. He is surprised since normally only his "staffs and clients" come (my question here - the office employees had come to Anu's house for his 50th birthday, wouldn't they have wondered who this woman was? Oh, okay, I get it, I am not supposed to think and put two and two together, just watch whatever is shown) Pallu says she has a surprise for him and wants him to go to the temple with her, he says he has a meeting with the Minister's PA, but right then, his phone rings and the meeting is canceled. He has no choice but to listen to Pallu.

RR and family reach the temple, Pallu looks for someone, finally she drops the bombshell - Anu is coming to the temple with Nivedha, and she wants Karthi and Nivedha to get married. She admits readily to not liking anyone other than herself and her own family, but this Anu is someone who amazes her, and so she really likes her. She admits to being a selfish person, but Anu never hesitates to vittu koduthufy anything (don't we all know that? Well, at least Pallu admits to her faults!), and is surprised that Anu hasn't yet shown up. RR has no fly dancing on his face, tries to tell her that he has work to do, then says that she has probably been held up at home, or had some other work to do, but Pallu will not listen and rings Anu. Now comes the suspense - Anu is coming in an auto, she is alone, she picks up the phone, and doesn't answer. Pallu rings again, finally Anu picks up, and says that the people in her house are not very keen on getting Nivedha married so soon after this latest disaster, and to leave this matter alone. She hangs up, and Pallu is puzzled at this change in her attitude. I am puzzled too, who got to her and what did they tell her?

This palluvali is just not palluvali but a big thalaivali... how can she suggest a marriage proposal without consulting anyone in the family - her husband, the son who is the baliaadu, her parents - ippadi oru vaNdi kumbal at home, and she just walks out to propose. enna kaNraavida indha lady...
