I am a new member. However I have been reading this forum for sometime now.I am personally more fond of east and central, though i agree that west played very well on the d day.Congrats to them.👏
Having said that i also think that omitting the beginning of the song 'hum pe yeh kisne ' was a mistake.I am a regular watcher of antakshari(haven't missed any episode).I am giving reasons and precedents from antakshari for my point of view.
a)In one episode of antakshari(the episode where ritika became the winner for the second consecutive time),a song was played in bhagam bhag round from satte pe satta
'pyar hume kis mod pe le aaya'.West identified the song correctly, but when they were about to be awarded points, east objected saying the song started with the words
'Hum ne vo kya dekha jo kaha deevana
Hum ko nahin kuchh samajh zara samajhana '
There was a lot of discussion after which west did not get marks for the song.Reasons given were:
When,in the original, the singer sings and it is accompanied by background music/rhythm,it is considered to be part of the beginning of the song (mukra). However if these same lines had been sung without any background score and we could only hear the singer's' voice, then it would be considered to be part of prelude, not mukra. On this basis,it was decided that the team had not sung the song from start.
This mistake would have gone unnoticed if east team had not objected. This proves that the research team has made some mistakes in the past which were rectified only when the participants pointed out the mistake. It also pretty clearly explains the difference between prelude and mukra.
To prove his point further, annu kapur cited the example of a popular song - 'hum tum ek kamre mein band ho' from bobby which starts with 'bahar se koi andar na aa sake'.Hence the starting of the song is considered to be
'bahar se koi andar na aa sake' and not
'hum tum ek kamre mein band ho'.Everybody unanimously agreed to this.
Please note here that the lines
'Bahar se koi andar na aa sake
andar se koi bahar na ja sake'
are said only once in the song.Still they were considered to be part of the starting. If that is so,then,by extension of the same logic
'yeh kiski hai aahat...' should be part of the mukra, esp since thaese lines are also accompanied by mild background music.
Don't know how many agree/disagree with this. But the facts that i have stated can be checked on antakshari's previous episodes. 😊
