Episode #49
Episode starts in a village house in uttarpradesh. A new born is crying when the mother gets milk bottle for him. Suddenly she hears music outside the house and the child stops crying. She sees two Banjara's playing instruments outside. She praises them and they ask for some water. When the mother returns with water she finds the Banjara couple inside the house and the door still locked. She sees the Banjara lady holding her baby and when she tries to get closer, the man plays his instrument and she's stuck in her place and falls unconscious. When she wakes up after a while she finds her kid and the Banjaras missing.
Next we see Aditi and vikrant talking to local PI, who tells them that the Banjaras kidnap the kids while playing music. People fall into trance when they hear the music and only the parents of the missing kids can see the Banjaras. Vikrant tells Aditi to check out the old cases and he will go to the last crime scene in kishanpur. In kishanpur, vikrant talks to the mother of the missing child who tells him that her daughter is kidnapped by the banjara ghosts whose music paralyzed her for a while. Vikrant rolls his eyes at this and she begs him to find her daughter. Vikrant promises to find her daughter.
Aditi went to the first crime scene, a Field next to a jungle. She sees a lady running and she and the Constable with her chase the lady and take her into custody. They also find a small child with her. Aditi calls up vikrant and tells him she will check the latest missing kids picture with the kid they just found. The picture doesn't match and Aditi goes to question the lady, jyoti. Jyoti tells aditi she was running from the villagers as she belongs to the banjaras and the people think that they are behind the kidnappings. Jyoti also tells aditi about a 50YO story, where the village leader's kid had gone missing and some banjaras were accused of the kidnapping and were buried alive wound in chains. It is believed that the ghosts have returned and kidnapping the kids now.
At night, aditi and vikrant are at their guest house. Aditi is sitting at the dining table with her laptop when vikrant comes out with a casserole and they resume having dinner. Vikrant says,
"baccho ko churana jitna assan hai, unhe sambhalna utna hi mushkil. Ek to chhote bacche humesha kisi na kisi ke nigrani me rehte hai, agar unke khane pine ka ya sone ka waqt chuk jae, to puri duniya sar pe utha lete hai. [#ReadyToBeAFather]

Aditi tells vikrant that they haven't got any ransom calls. But vikrant thinks that kidnappings might have other reasons behind it. But aditi points that anyone will go through all the trouble only if they want the kids alive, and that they might be looking for dead kids instead of live ones and that she feels that the field where they caught jyoti is somehow related to all of this. Vikrant is still skeptical about jyoti's ghost story and ponders on it for a while. Later that night they leave to search the field with a team of police officers.
While searching, vikrant spots a light and splits from the team to look for it. He finds a house and enters it to check it out. We see a shadow running from the house. On the other side, aditi sees a few piles of mud in the field and she asks the constable to dig it. They find out that the babies had been buried there. While the police were digging aditi spots a banjara couple walking into the jungle and she runs after them. From the house where vikrant was, he spots aditi running into the jungle and follows her.
Aditi looses track of the couple after some distance, as she turns around, she see the banjara man standing behind her, she gets scared and stumbles backwards and falls into a deep hole dug on the ground. The banjara couple stands at the edge of the hole and start playing music. As the music intensifies, aditi struggles in the hole with her hands on her ears. Aditi feels paralyzed and suddenly finds her hands tied in chains. The banjara lady starts pushing soil into the hole covering aditi.
Vikrant reaches there at the correct time and the couple disappears. He finds aditi in the hole and jumps inside. He kneels on the ground and pulls aditi in his lap and checks if she was okay. She was partially unconscious, but she manages to tell him that she saw a banajra couple playing music that paralyzed her. Vikrant dismisses it as crazy talk. Aditi falls unconscious in his arms. A guy, baldev reaches there along with the rest of the team and checks on vikrant and aditi. Vikrant asks them to get a rope or something as aditi has fallen uncounsious.
Next morning we see vikrant questioning baldev, who lives in that abandoned house in the field. He tells vikrant that he had dug the hole to build a well. Vikrant asks for water and follows baldev into his house. Once in the house, vikrant finds some chains and a baby bottle. He takes baldev into custody. Vikrant interrogates baldev at the station. [The interrogation scene is simply A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. u guys should watch it!] Baldev tells him that someone had sold him the land and he was new in the village. Baldev also confesses to finding the chains and a newborn baby in the hole outside his house and later selling the baby to a couple. The local PI checks baldevs house and find some papers verifying his story. He thinks it's a racket run by baldev, but vikrant tells him that he has better judgement of people and he can tell that baldev has not killed any of the kids, its someone else. At the guest house, aditi is lying on the bed. She dreams about the night and wakes up with a jerk.
At night, Jyoti begs the police to let her and her kid leave. The PI lets her go, but while going she warns baldev that he has done a grave mistake. The banjara couple is seen at the police station and baldev escapes the prison taking advantage of the constables paralysis.
At the guest house, we see aditi siting on the couch nursing her wound. Vikrant comes with a glass of juice and hands it to her. He asks if she's okay and says,
"Ab tum keh nahi paogi ke vikrant sir apne juniors ka khayal nahi rakhte. Lo juice pilo nahi to agli baar daal ka pani pilaunga.
Aditi smiles at him, thanks him and accepts the glass. [This scene was sooo cute!! Vikrant is such a mother goose when it comes to pampering aditi!]
He tells aditi that the case is practically over, and that they have caught the scamster, and he will get her up to speed when she's completely fine. Aditi tells him that she had really seen the banjara couple and tells him that she felt paralyzed when she heard the music. Vikrant looks at her helplessly, he still doesn't believe a single word of it. At the same time the PI comes and informs them that baldev has escaped and aditi adds that the case is not yet solved. Vikrant goes to the police station and questions the constable, whose description of the scene matches that of aditi's. But he adds that the banjara lady he saw was jyoti. But vikrant thinks that he might have been drugged. Vikrant calls in the PI and shouts at him for being irresponsible and letting jyoti go w/o permission. He was literally fuming! [OMG!! Vikrant is so irritated this days at everything that he sees.. im worried for his health now.]
Vikrant gets information that jyoti was seen in the field with her child, he calls up aditi and they visit the field. They spot jyoti with an older man and chase them into the jungle. vikrant runs after jyoti and captures her. He asks the police to be very careful with the child. [#ReadyToBeAFather]
Aditi runs after the old man. She sees him removing something from his bag and she aims her gun at him. He tries to remove whatever it was and aditi shoots at him. The bullet hits metal and grazes his shoulder and the chains fall from his hands. Aditi falls to the ground because of the sudden spark. She tries to grab her gun but sees the banjara couple playing music and is not able to move. The old man manages to get up and throw the chains in the hole and put soil over it. The music stops and the banajra couple disappears. Aditi questions the old man and he tells her that the couple were his ancestors who were buried alive and came back to take revenge when baldev removed the chains from the ground. Vikrant calls aditi and tells they caught jyoti, aditi calls him at her location. The man tells vikrant the same story and he doesn't believe it. Aditi tells vikrant that they should let the chains be buried. He is reluctant at first as it is evidence but aditi convinces him saying they have other evidences to prove the case. Vikrant agrees to her and puts more soil over the buried chains.
