Eljay: Sorry, I forgot to respond to this post earlier. Yes, there are 63 naayanmars. Seenu mentioned 64 and I repeated that without paying attention to it. It didn't strike me the other day. :) Have you seen the naayanmars in Madurai meenakshi temple? They are petite statues in a standing pose. We used this nick "64th naayanamar" for a very small and cute premie baby in our family circle. :)
