I think they need Shanthi back in Chennai for the grand Param Veer Tyagi finale. Sameer will come to shoot Karthik and Shanthi or Manisha will take the bullet, save Karthik, then ACD will come in from behind and shoot Sameer, everyone will shed tears in front of a huge garlanded portrait of the tyagi (S or M?) and ACD will lead away a shackled Abi. By this time, he would have found out that Abi has somehow contacted Sameer and egged him into shooting Karthik and Shanti, using Kandhu and Srini as contacts, so those two will also go to jail. Since the jails are overcrowded at this point, the ashram itself will be used as a secondary jail, and our man Nallan will be put to work cooking and cleaning for them. How does this scenario affect you all?

Bad news, Eljay. The Lalu talk show is oversubscribed, so I shall take back the burden of watching the Anandham show instead and doing Friday's update (on Saturday morning). Thanks again for offering to help.

and yesterday's episode showed the director's
name as Mr.Freedom!!!

Thanks, Roja. I saw the episode online 5 mins ago in fast motion. I don't think you or Pat would need to do a blow-by-blow account, especially as some 56 seconds (longer than the ACD-Priya wedding scene) were spent on just showing Maanga, ex-Omni and Indhu riding back to Chennai in sullen silence. At least the focus on ACD at the computer showed his preoccupation and served as a prelude to the possible solution of the numerous cases, especially as he had worked overnight. But that 56-second focus on the Maanga-led ride back was totally needless.

Thanks, Roja. I didn't quite follow what you said of Monday's episode and this one too. Was Maama telling Ex-Omni to rip off her thaali?

difference between the thalli and the tailoring thread -
if Ex can snip the thread then it means that she has severed
baggage from her life - according to maama - and so he
wont discuss that topic ever again!!

Oh, thanks for the clarification. That's why you were referring to a profound philosophy!. Baggage was never really a part of her life; he had a sham marriage, so the thaali never had any significance anyway.

That was what I thought, too, so what was the significance of showing that thali hanging in the air? Everyone on the show knows that she was a thodatha manaivi (on the show and all of us long suffering viewers!), so what are we waiting for? Mama was right in urging her to move on, I just didn't see the need for all the drama of taking her to the sewing machine and giving her the scissors and asking her to snip the thread.

It looks like Mr. Freedom and CR are taking it in turns to direct the show, much like the good cop and bad cop routine. One gives us a peek at ACD and Priya, the other will take us back to the SKM saga.
