Murthy was a driver working for Srini. He had knowledge about Jambu, the foster father of Abi. Murthy threatened to expose Abi and was blackmailing Srini/Abi. At that time, Abi was successfully tearing apart RK's family and slowly getting control of his samrajyam, but still in the good books of then Maangai madayar, RK. So Srini got him bumped off.
Jambu had been found responsible for the collapse of a building which killed many people/children and thereafter he took to heavy drinking and poisoning Abi's mind against RK, who had refused help. This much I remember about Jambu.
