Madhan goes to Abhi's home, hands over all the files, and washes his hands of Charu's business. (Funnily, for the huge conglomerate that Charu runs, Madhan had only two thin files to hand over.) Abhi feigns surprise and claims her intention in asking him for an accounting was simply to be kept informed in case Madhan makes a bad decision in business, as he had in marriage/life. Madhan responds that, having been once married to her, he knows well what her ultimate intention was and therefore has decided to divest himself of all responsibility. Adding that he had only been helping Charu and had many responsibilities of his own to handle, he makes his exit, leaving Abhi gloating.
Shanthi's Mama is sitting on the sofa. Looking up from the papers he was reading, he casts a suspicious eye at Manisha in the next room combing Rocky's hair. Shanthi calls Mama to the dining table for breakfast. Mama suggests that Mani and Rocky join him too but Shanthi says they will eat later. Shanthi senses Mama's curiosity and announces that Mani and Rocky are her guests, people close to her. (Nosey, nosey Mama.) Mama wonders whether Mani's husband has come with her. Ruffled, Shanthi responds that Mani's husband is also like "your maapillai". Mama instantly concludes that Mani's husband is another military man and remarks "innam innathodu than koodum".
Main scene of the day. Vishnu and Sreeni have been instructed by Abhi to come to the construction site, where Charu is raising a building. Abhi announces that Madhan has quit tending to Charu's business and that she will now hand over Madhan's job to Sreeni. (Gleaming look on Sreeni's face.) Abhi also says she will henceforth assign the building contract to Vishnu. She says she is making all these business changes in return for Sreeni and Vishnu standing by her when she was forced out of SKPD's home. Abhi then calls for the existing contractor and his team, introduces the two men and announces her decisions.
Madhan visits Manga to announce his decision to quit tending Charu's business. Manga is upset and chides sonny boy for having been hasty. (So characteristic of Manga.) Madhan says he felt pressurized to quit after Abhi kept asking him to account for the business. Manga retorts that Abhi, as Charu's daughter, has every right to ask him to give an account. Madhan says it was Abhi's disdainful manner that compelled him to quit and Manga replies that it was all a matter of Madhan's perception. He reproaches Madhan for not forewarning him as it was he who had offered Madhan's assistance to Charu and Charu would now think ill of him, Manga. Madhan informs Manga that he has already emailed Charu his decision.
Charu's old contractor calls Madhan and informs him that Abhi has transferred the contract to Vishnu and assigned Sreeni to take charge of Charu's business. Madhan thanks the man and then fumes to Rohini. He says he should have stayed on in the business a little longer to prevent Sreeni's takeover, which will now wreck Charu's business interests. But Rohini counters that his staying on would merely have delayed Sreeni's eventual takeover since it was all Abhi's gameplan right from the start.
