Update for Wednesday, Oct 1, 2008:

Opening scene: Naradar and Abi in conversation, with Naradar telling Abi about RK deeding the other house to Rocky. Srini says that at this rate, RK could very well deed this house also (how is that possible when it belongs to Charu, and you yourself just said so?), and Abi should remember that the house is rightfully hers, and it is her sotthu. Even if it is Charu's, it still is her sotthu, and she should take the steps necessary to protect her inheritance.

Rohini and Anitha in conversation - Rohini tells Anitha that she needs to take the next step in this matter, and they need to remember that indhu is not really Karthik's daughter, while Rocky is his son. Anitha says that if Shanthi found out that Manisha is Karthik's girlfriend, she will surely give up her life ( I still haven't understood why), and she doesn't know what to do. Rohini leaves, saying that Anitha needs to be decisive.

Arjun comes to see RK, who is angry that all these things are happening and nobody thought of informing him or taking his advice, considering that he is the oldest member of the family (but the least sensible and blind when it comes to Abi!). Arjun explains about the detective and Shanthi and Karthik, and good ole Nallan is eavesdropping, as always. Arjun leaves, and Nallan is busy adding up 2 and 2 - so Karthik is Manisha's lover, and Rocky is ...?

SKPD in the forest - he makes his bed on a mat, along with 4 other mats, on a bridge (this is definitely no Hilton, no mattress, no AC, no mosquito nets, but his clothes are still pristine white and ironed, at that!). He is about to lie down, but then he sees that Sameer and his boss are deep in conversation, so he creeps along and ... what else, he also eavesdrops. The boss says that having SKPD has not been of any use to them, so he tells Sameer to get rid of SKPD at the earliest. SKPD is shocked, and he quickly gets back to his mat, and feigns sleep when the others return. Boss lies down next to him, and Sameer and another guy sleep at right angles to these two. One guy is the sentry, and he is patroling. SKPD slowly opens one eye, but right then the boss turns to look at him, so he feigns sleep again. This happens two or three times, and finally the boss falls asleep. Sameer is still awake, and then slowly he also falls asleep. The sentry keeps walking up and down till he gets tired, then he goes and sits down, and slowly he nods, and his head comes and rests on his chin (couldn't tell if he was snoring!). SKPD slowly gets up, crawls down the bridge, then slowly moves away, keeps running, finally he sees a telephone all by itself. It is not a pay phone, and I didn't see any signs of its being in a shop, so how is it there all on its own? Anyway, it is not for me to question the likes of CR. SKPD makes a call.

Abi picks up the phone, which is a land line, and SKPD talks to her and (muted dialog) lets her know what is going on and where he is. At the same time, we see AP listening to the call, along with other policemen from the command post, and the voices are confirmed to be those of SKPD and Abi from the voice patterns, which are being recorded.

Boss wakes up and finds SKPD missing, wakes up Sameer, then the others get up, the sentry who fell asleep is thrashed soundly by the boss, then they all start running and looking for SKPD. Scene shifts to SKPD, who is panting and breathing heavily, a pair of headlights are shown approaching, SKPD is sweating, the lights are nearing, SKPD turns to look behind him ... FREEZE

Update for Friday, Oct 4, 2008:

Opening scene: SKPD is waiting in a state of nervous tension, he is sweating, a car can be seen approaching, he looks behind him, the car approaches and someone gets out. It is a man, and from the silhouette, one can see that it is AP. SKPD turns to run, but stares down the barrel of a revolver held by none other than ACD. AP handcuffs him, and ACD tells him to march toward the van, but he pleads with them to let him wait and see his beloved daughter Abi who is supposed to be arriving there shortly. (For once, CR has let the police steal a march over Abi!) His request is turned down, he is taken to the van, and everyone leaves. Where are Sameer and his cronies?

Abi arrives, looks for her dad, becomes anxious when there is no sign of him, finally she leaves. I just want to know how she is bold enough to get out of the safety of her car at that hour of the night, on a deserted stretch of road, and pace up and down, looking for daddy dearest, knowing that he has escaped from his kidnappers who may be on the search for him? By the way, what happened to the phone?

SKPD is being interrogated by AP and ACD, playing the good cop, bad cop routine. They talk him into telling them everything, saying that the police will consider reducing his sentence (isn't that for the court to decide?), and finally he sings like a canary.Some of it was muted, but he tells them how he was kidnapped and met the boss etc., and they are planning something big, because they had a map and were saying something in a language he didn't know, but it sounded full of aavesham. They leave him and give instructions to his guards.

Shanthi is thinking that she may be able to find come clues at home itself, so she makes a trip to the attic and starts dusting off Karthik's stuff. A letter falls out of some old diary, and she starts reading it. It is addressed to Karthik and signed by Kajol (that is the Bengali spelling, why is a Kashmiri using that, and not the usual Kajal?) and talks of how they have a special relationship, and she will always live for him, and so on. The detective calls, and Shanthi tells him that he need not do any further investigation and she will compensate him for all his work done this far.

Abi comes to see ACD, who is back in his usual outfit, frown, neat hair and uniform, firstly to congratulate him on his progress and recovery, and secondly, to inquire about her dad. She says that she received a call from him, and he had been kidnapped, and she went to see him, but he was not there. ACD asks why she did not inform the police, but she says she was going there to tell her dad to surrender. ACD mentions that she got the call on her landline, (I missed something here, can someone fill in, please?) and tells her that in the future, she must let the police know about such calls from escaped prisoners like her dad. Abi leaves without finding out that her dad is already in police custody.

Shanthi calls up Manisha and tells her that she wants to talk about something and asks her to come over. Why can she not go there if she wants to talk about something? What is with this summoning people, as if this is a royal order? Maybe she thinks Manisha will know about this Kajol, since they are both from Kashmir, and Kashmir is a village with one street, where everyone knows everyone else and their business. Anyway, Manisha is thinking about this summons ... FREEZE [NO COPY]

Oct 6(Mon):

Oct 7 (Tues):

Abirami paces the floor, her manasatchi appears and asks if Abirami cannot sleep and if she is plotting to destroy RK's family. Abirami says she cannot keep quiet as they had done injustice to her adopted father, Jambu. Manasatchi tells her to think about the good things she has attained in her life but Abirami says when Shanti came into the house, her samarium has been destroyed. She says she has found the ammunition to destroy Shanti and she cannot keep quiet. Manasachi tells Abirami until she listens to her she will not be in peace and disappears. Abirami sits down and thinks again.

ACD meets Alex and tells he feels bad as they did not find anything even with information. Alex says they will surely find something soon. ACD feels that Sameer's group would surely come looking for SKP. Alex says Sameer surely has some other agenda and says that his hit list is growing each day. He also feels Sameer would be looking for SKP. Alex tells ACD to take this as a challenge and fight it. ACD agrees and leaves.

Abirami goes to Rajeshwari Trust and meets Manisha's mother there. Manisha's mother doesn't know Abirami but Abirami deduces that she must be Manisha's mother and asks her who she is. Manisha's mother introduces herself as a caretaker. RK comes there and asks Abirami in. Abirami asks RK what he has decided about Manisha and Karthik and if he has told Shanti. RK looks at her surprised. Abirami tells RK she will tell Shanti and leavs. Manisha's mother listens to their conversation and after Abirami leaves, she calls Manisha and tells her about Abirami's visit. She tells Manisha that Abirami would tell Shanti everything. She tells Manisha to think what to do and soon. Manisha is confused . Shanti at home and is in deep thought. Has flashback about her marriage to Karthik and her argument with Karthik recently. She also thinks about the letter from Kajal.

Manisha's mother calls Anita and tells her about Abirami's visit to RK and their conversation. Anita is shocked. Manisha's mother tells Anita that RK was shocked that Abirami knows. She is afraid that Abirami would tell Shanti and asks Anita to somehow stop Abirami. Anita tells Manisha's mother to take care and hangs up. Arjun arrives and Anita tells him that Abirami knows about Manisha and Karthik and she does not know wht to do. Arjun says Abirami would surely go to Shanti and tell her. Anita wants to speak with Abirami but Arjun says he will talk to Abirami because he is the only one who will be able to stop her. Anita tells Arjun to be very careful and to call her. Karthi sits on the sofa and is also in deep thought while Shanti is doing the same at the dining table. Shanti then gets up and goes to Karthik and asks who is Kajal, Karthik gets up. Shanti asks if Kajal is in town or in Kashmir. She says Madan, Rohini and Arjun have seen him with a girl and asks if the girl is Kajal. Karthik finally says yes. Shanti is shocked. THODARUM.

Oct 14^th, Tuesday:

Continuation of Ex-Omni and Baggage staring at the other with the typical looks.

Mrs and Mr Arjun discussing over cup of tea or coffee, how Shanthi has become unpredictable. Anitha feels for her anna who unlike a tortoise, doesn't have a shell to hide, when a kashtam arrives. Arjun consoles her.

Baggage with anna, Madhan and anni, Rohini – More discussion about Ex-Omni. Anni feels Ex- Omni has taken the right decision. Thambi says wife's silence is torturing him. Aarudhal continued ( who is there to console us, viewers?)

Ramya and Rani – After a brief mention about mahalaya amavasya and cost of living, their discussion turn towards the latest vambu in RK's family.

Time to bed – Shanthi directs Manijaan and Rocky upstairs. Baggage takes Indu and goes in the opposite direction downstairs. Shanthi reclines on the living sofa and looks at the vittam. ( so do the viewers!)

Abi and Srini – Srini wonders about the vibareedha raja yogam of Manisha. Abi is upset cause there was no bookambam in RK's family- Manijaan recovered , Shanthi has taken Mani under her roof and ooru vaai has been tied. Abi recalls her dialogues of previous year episodes – Shanthiyai vida maaten …. Nimmadhiya irukka vida maaten..and the likes. Srini asks her to be careful while scheming.

For a relief, ACD and AP spare us the ex-omni discussion and talk about the terrorists and their possible evil plans. They then turn their attention on Sameer who has two motives to target baggage – one is personal and the other for avenging Joe's death( endha Joe? Abikku route potta Joeva?) They then walk out of the room , may be to catch Sameer.

Back to Shanthi illam – Indu gets ready to goto school. Baggage all set to take her. In comes Narayanan ; Ex-Omni hands over Indu's transport to him and warns him not to gossip unnecessarily. Baggage is hurt (Giri is also sad - Priya vai romba naala kanome😛) Mani jaan( looks very nice in pink dress and new hair style) witnesses all this. Baggage looks at her - freeze
