Dee, don't have your hopes up. I suspect Abhi's insinuation about Priya's character is a build-up to force the marriage of ACD and Priya, after which any dreams of romance will be totally crushed. I hope Viduthalai realises that if there is no romance even after the much-awaited ACD-Priya marriage, he will totally lose his viewership. The only way he can then hope to sustain viewer interest is if ACD gets back into action like in the old days. I recently saw some old videos where ACD was hanging out in a black leather jacket. In another scene, he was dressed in a denim jacket and headed into a village on a motorbike and challenged some goons into playing kabadi. Now, however, all ACD does is sit in his office in his uniform. No more gym or jogging scenes either.

By insinuating that Priya is living with ACD and is of immoral character, Abhi is just hitting back at the RK family because Karthik had suggested in public that there might have been an improper relationship between Abhi and her sammandhi! (This was just after Karthik had slapped Srini)

Thanks for the update, Giri. I did think ACD had exceeded his authority in threatening Srini (though Srini and Abhi deserved such treatment). ACD's behaviour also gave his character some depth instead of making him an unrealistically upright officer. I do hope he thinks up some way of bringing Srini and Abhi to justice -- Srini for all his underhand dealings in business and the part he played in disposing of someone (can't remember who) on behalf of Samandhi and Abhi for her role in Divya's murder and I believe Insp Narendran's and Kannaku's wife's murders (wasn't it she who was behind those or was it SKPD; I forget, with all the contortions in this long-running serial's plot).

On a separate note, why is AVD so kadu kadu with poor Priya. I felt very sorry for her, given the way he has treated her. He may be preoccupied with other matters but he needn't have treated her so rudely outside RK's home. Even if he was feigning irritation with Priya, Vidu could have shown ACD smiling after the parting. Seriously, I now wonder whether ACD deserves Priya.

Surely, even if there is no romance between ACD and Priya 😭, at least there needn't be such coldness on the part of ACD. Viduthalai Sir, please take heed of the sentiments of your audience.

"Robot" -- apt word, Sue. Btw, I wonder when Charulatha is ever coming back. Perhaps to attend the wedding? Jayaprabha or whatever her name is seems to have quit the serial, following in the footsteps of Sripriya?
