Theme based singing?

All the kids in the show are just singing fabulously... But I have this feeling that they should introduce some definite themes for each round, so that its easier for the judges as well to evaluate all the kids... In the same round - we had Jayant singing a fab ghazal, and Anwesha rocking Maiyya Maiyya.. and both are such different songs that we cant just grade them on a similar scale..

I hope that the contest does introduce specific themes at each round and the kids continue to rock on them 😃

yeah u r right...there shud be themes so that it becomes easier to grade fairly..also for us as viewers, it shud be fun to watch diff themes..

i agree with u jayaji 😛 ......but i thing for sure,i'm enjoying this kids series 😛 ................the song selection is good n singing is excellent spcially Anwesha,Aishwarya,jayant n Areeb 😳 ........lage raho Chhote ustaado 👏

The themes that I think will really go well with kids....

One kids special songs - all songs that have been picturised on kids and have been sung by kids in films... This can include lullabyes as well...

I think one theme on Moon based songs will be very good...

Am also looking fwd to a Salil Chowdhury special.. I think all these kids are very talented to carry those songs very well...

^ Nice themes especially the kids/lullaby ones.there are so many options for the chand based theme too. If I remember correctly, there was a chand-based during LC last year too.

Let me add some more, which we probably suggested in some other topics during VOI. 😆 Now that a new show started, we should bring back theme of the week too.

Classical-based songs (C2007 theme episode of the same was excellent).

Music directors based round, recent (ARR) and less recent(SD Burman, Madan Mohan).

Non-filmi songs, maybe pop songs.

its very difficult to judge with such varying songs and all the kids should move out of their comfort zones and sing something different

and i really wish there was a ghazal round with ghulam ali saab being the guest this week

and sonya, am missing theme of the week too 😛 😆

^^ You said what I was thinking Kirti.. How am I wishing that when Ghulam Ali saab comes, we just have a ghazal based round.. But looking at the TB article, though some of the kids are singing ghazals, its not entirely ghazals by all the kids...

Starting the Theme of the Week again should be a great idea.. 😊
