If ASVOI had people from regions different from the regions where contestants from other contests hail from, they have very good chance of getting huge votes.

Note: not naming contestants from other show.

For ex:

Punjab had 3 contestants in 2 shows (not considering another show, which concentrates mainly on performance). Arshpreet got out.

Rajasthan : 2 contestants. You'd know who is more popular, if you are watching both shows.

MP : Abhaas and Priyani Vani

Pune : Abhilaasha

Calcutta : Prantik Sur and 1 contestant from other show.

Gujrat : Mirande and one other contestant

UP : Harshit and another contestant.

And I think this is the reason for the elimination this week.

Good analysis... The equation gets even more complex when we even consider the show that stresses more on performance...

For example Bengal.. Here we had Prantik and Prantika eliminated the earliest.. the show that I have mentioned above had so many contestants from that region + one very strong contestant from the other show... As a result, I think everyone is paying the price.. some more, some less!

I think it is good thing happening this time around that due to many contestants from the same region to vote for, the regional weightage have been neutralized to some extent and neutral votes are going to influence the outcome more.

Please do not bring in regionalism into the discussions... It is against the rules of the section Rule to be Followed in the Section!!
