Sibling pressure

We can't help but to compare Toshi's performances to Sharib's. Plus, some of the song choices are the same so that doesn't help much either. Some of Sharib's songs from C2005 and EMET are still fresh in our minds.

Do you think such comparisons will help or hurt? Is it fair? Does it add to the pressure of the current contestant to match or beat their sibling's past songs?

It is not fair but than again when we have memory of such a good performances by Sharib it is difficult not to compare. So it can hurt too. Tough one it can go both ways. I personally think Sharib is better singer than TOshi 😳

Do not recall any other siblings or cousins. With these list I really don't see comparison at all. These are different type singers altogether. Although Hema and Karunya sang couple of same songs but the renditions were so different for anyone to make comparison. Both are fantastic singers IMHO 😊

Hemu and Karunya was the case of 2 equally talented cousins.... There's is a unique case and has not been repeated since...

Comparisons come inevitably, and Toshi is responsible to a great extent for the same.. He has been trying to sing all the songs that Sharib performed so well, and has not yet reached that level of Sharib as yet...

was it known right from the beginning that hemu and karunya were cousins? atleast i did not know till almost the end ...

and bro-sis comparisons are not the same as comparing two guys ...

anyways coming to toshi and sharib ... i think toshi should refrain from singing songs that sharib has sung ... do we have a shortage of gud songs?? and it has been proved that sharib is a better singer mostly cos toshi has sung the same ones ...
another point is toshi is good but highly overrated and when ur in that position u better be excellent, being good is not enough ... agar judges usko itna sir par nahi chadate to (worst part is woh chad gaya aur utarne ka naam hi nahi le raha 😆 ) we might not hv been so critical ...

I was wondering no star kid or a famous singers child has participated in any of these contests.May be the fear of geting voted out is witholding them.

Sharib seems to be the better singer so I don't know why Toshi hurts
himself by singing the same songs-- the Paap song with Sharib in the
audience was particularly painful in reminding us that he was turning into
Sharib Lite.

I don't think that Harshida was any good so I don't think she was hurt by
any comparisons.

Both Hema and Karunya had different voice and both were good.

I barely remember Himabindu and completely did not notice that she was
Hemachandra's sister during the show itself until she left. They don't
really look alike. But again no comparison.

I think that Anu Malik's nephew was on Lil Champs. Kumar Sanu's neglected
son Jaan Sanu was on an earlier incarnation.

Yes, Armaan Malik on Lil Champs, son of Daboo Malik and nephew of Anu Malik. Don't know about Kumar Sanu's neglected son.

Generation leaps: Rafi ji's grandson was on a music reality show too (Mera Star Superstar).
