Alka wants to hear Sumitra?

I agree that she would want to hear Priyani, because she had it with her from the beginning. But why Sumitra? As far as I remember she liked Sumitra.

I think this is all created for the TRP drama.

If I was a judge there, I would have wanted to hear Sumitra again too.. I have my own reservations with Sumitra...

And not just Sumitra, I would ask Toshi to be re-tested again as well!

she is right about sumitra... also, toshi is the first one i wud ask to listen to again... such hype and aura created about him... extremely overrated...

I would ask all 33 contestants to sing again and choose 12 amobng them

THere had to b some rule like least scorer from each episode kind of thing or else THey shld havve asked all 14 contestanrts to sing again

if i were on her place i would want to hear sumitra as well... i would want to hear ppl who didnt show much versatality in their singin..

Why Sumitra? Just because she does not belong to the genre of song you like?😕 I thought that all along Sumitra has been giving fantastic performances beginning with that mindblowing rendition of Hare Rama Hare Krishna song😊

I find problem with Alka as well. While, I agree that she was shortchanged over Priyani decision, her decisions in multiple cases have been nothing short of questionable. My earlier comment on Alka about "Mere career se no samjhauta" was written in facetious manner but I was serious. She gives me that impression that she would cut to size any singer who is adept at her genre. She is far from being fair. 😉 And AS-VOI is not the only time I got this impression. She has done it during SRGMP Li'l Champs as well.

She reminds me of a very pertinent comment made by Javed Akhtar in the last elimination episode of II-3. He said that he thinks that girls are getting shortchanged in these shows not only because the boys vote for boys but also because girls do not vote for girl contestants. Now, while I do not subscribe to the gender based voting or for that matter any basis for voting other than pure talent, it counfounds me to see that girls get annihilated from these shows despite their proficiencies. Take a look at II-3. 3 girls for 8 boys left in the competition. Take a look at SRGMP-07. 4 girls for 8 boys left. Not before long, you will see the same ratio in AS-VOI (I promise you). And Alka has a big role to play in it because of her over-criticism of girl contestants.

Sumitra is a very deserving girl. While I had become a big fan of Ishmit, I would have liked to see Vipul replace either Priyani or Ishmit because none of them were as good as him. Sumitra is far above these.😛

sumitra was nt that good in first round actually and was given very high points..... with mast song and aao na song.... thts why even i would have liked to hear her..... it was nt the same genre.... it was some bad performances😊

Also Sumitra always sings the same kind of songs..Even Toshi is overrated.
I feel they could hv heard all except Aabhas, Abhilasha n Harshid.

precisely!! same genre is a very small thing actually ... the problem was that her 'mast' and 'aao na' were not all that good ... and she didnt get high marks for these (except abhijeet's 10) ... cud be bcos the judges were strict but to me the low marks were justified ... so there was no harm in asking her to sing again if there was a doubt in alka's mind!! i wud anyday have preferred all of them singing again or just moving ahead with bemisaal 14 but alka, being a judge, definitelty had the right to ask whoever she wanted to sing again ...

regarding girls not voting for other girls ... hmmm... maybe bcos like alka we too are jealous of all the girls on all the reality shows 😆 how dare they win!!! we are any day better than all of them put together !!! 😆 😆 😆 😆 just joking ... no offence pls ...

Sorry Manish but i dnt agree with u here. The mast song she had sung was really bad. Only the first one she did well. but not a single worth after that which can give her a clean chit. She with Toshi and Prantik should hav been called again.

The girls are becomming the fans of the male contestants and then voting for them while males are votong for mainly males. thats causing the imbalance maybe.😆 but the data u gav for srgmp i disagree.(not related to this show but just making the point clear) the 8:4 ratio has been made by not voting but by selection by the honourable judges. also in srgmp this time round boys were more deserving than the girls.

Not Ishmit but yes vipul in place of Priyani or Prantik for me.
