Live Update : 23.6.2007
The auditions are over and yesterday was the first episode of first round of the show. The format is as follows:
the 33 contestants are divided in 4 groups and one group will perform every week. On friday 2 contestants will get eliminated and on saturday another 3 contestants will get eliminated. the other 3 contestants will go to the bemisaal 12.
The judgement system is impartial with each judge giving own judgement in form of points out of 10. And the contestant with highest points go ahead.
Precap of Yesterday: Chaitanya got eliminated. Because of tie on second last position, today 4 contestants will be eliminated instead of 3.

The show starts with Shaan singing "Life main kabhi kabhi" Though shaan sang it well, the song is not good so I would say yet another wrong song selection😆..... but they incorporated words Amul Star Voice of India in it.

Friday's points are carried over to saturday and saturday points are clubbed, so the decision is based on performances on both days.👏
Then they show the precap of yesterday's episode. Shaan says that 4 voices will be out of competition today.

She is not good again today. She is off surs sometimes. I think it was pretty average performance. But she was better than yesterday

She started off really well👏. She has got a real nice voice. She was off surs a few times. But overall her performance was good👏

He started of the song well and maintained it well in antara👏 He sang in sur and his voice is really good. It suited the song well👏

Shaan asks that you were questioned yesterday about Kishorda songs. Why did you select Kishoreda song. He says that Kishoreda is my idol and we dont have a teacher from where I have come.
Aadesh says that kisine kahin kaha hain ke rafi sahab aur kishoreda ke gaane gake roti nahi milti. Lekin yahi hamare idols hain. Abhijeet joins in saying that you will earn roti for others. Alka says Abhijeet bhai so Abhijeet retorts Bhai kisko bola😆. Then Lalit says that in 24 hours he has improved he has nt copied Kishoreda completely here.😊

Jatin says there is some expression which changes feeling altogether. Khulke nahi gaya. Though the song was difficult. Abhijeet says she is from kolkata still her pronunciations are really good in funny bong way hindi😆

"Ruk jana nahi tu kahi haar ke"
He seems to be really unwell. He sounded really bad today But still I must commend him for singing in surs👏 Considering he was nt well, he sang really well👏 First time i felt that some contestant is really not well😆

Sumitra: Yesterday points: 38
She sings "Aao na gale lagalo na"
She tried but she sang it really average😊 Basically she has set really high standards for herself with first performance. Its not easy to match them. But she did really nice effort. She could not reach the high note on Saajna. She sang the Antara really well👏 but her mukhada was average😕 but her modulations were good enough. Overall little above average I would say😊

Shaan asks for her shortcomings from alka and lalit. Alka tells her to sing the high notes again and where there was a modulation which was not correct. Jatin says iski aawaj main weight hain and we cant compare to ashaji, we have to compare to other singers. Alka says we cant compare to any legendary singers. Abhijeet says aapke jaise 5 judges ho to she wil get eliminated in first round. then alka says we cant compare to legendary singers, yeh bewakoofi hain aur main bewakoof nahi hoon a little hot discussion😆

What a voice this man has really👏. He is the greatest asset of Voice of India👏 He sang really well may be one or two little mistakes... but awesome performance and singing👏

Shaan asks Abhijeet. He says bahot accha gaya aur dil se gaya. Aadesh said different aawaj hain par sur mein thoda idhar udhar hua (even i felt it a bit) he said did nt enjoy (I felt he was best along with Arvind today😳)

Shaan has got the score sheet in his hand. Shaan asks judges that how fair the judgement is with new system. Lalit says its really fair. Then shaan asks about Jatin's point of different thinking of Music Director and Singer. Jatin says that Singer is given a product which he has to operate. Aadesh also says something on it.
Then shaan calls the seven contestants on stage. Shaan says that todays top three (only today's points) are different than yesterday.
