Very well said😊 Sonu was awesome as a host in the older version of SRGM.. he very well fitted into the overall mood of that show... Then the format of the show changed, and Shaan was the perfect host for this version of the show.... I think he is doing great as a host👏

Both Saan and Sonu are fabulous as the host of the show. When Sonu was the anchor, all the top stalwarts were on the hot seats as the judges, all top pundits of yester years, there was not much controversy, not much regionalism, no TRPs, no fighting between the judges. And there was noone who did not accept the judge's decision gracefully. There was no judges who took these moments in the television show as a mode for gaining popularity, as there was nothing to prove for them. At that time it was a classical show, a platform for unification of all the old and new generations, a platform for taking blessings from all the top musicians of their time.

But for Shaan, he went through the most difficult phases, specially from the c2005 days, with controversies, TRPs, many other issues took preferencial seats more than looking for the particular singers. It became a platform of egoism, a platform of showing the popularity of the judges more than the singing capability of the competitors, controversies were carefully staged to gain the TRPs. I think at this time, Shaan acted as a great host, always very smiling, but acted tough when required, acted as a bridge between the competitors, judges and the management. Hats off to him.....

So according to me both were great, in their respective time.

There were rumors that Sonu was hosting either VOI or SRGMP. (since he wasn't judging II3) How I wish that was true. One show, Shaan hosting. The other, Sonu hosting.

I agree with you but still i think that sonu is a better judge than a host . i think shaan is the best host though really miss sonu in II

BEST............NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT...........WITHOUT SHAAN ASVOI OR SA RE GA MA PA IS TOTAL CHARM LESS..........HE IS JUST GREAT...........THE WAY HE CONNECTS WITH EACH CONTESTANT LIKE HIS OWN CHILD.....HE IS TOO SWEET...........after above all..........he is a celebrity...he doest not need to do the anchoring..he does it out of love and passion for music and he likes to connect with people more and love to work with people..never SHOWS OFF HIS "STAR" ATTITUDE LIKE OTHER DO...........actually, he deserve to be in judge's position..they can replace Abhijit with Shaan...also also he loves Gajji..He is SO down to earth...he alwyas interact with the contestant with a personal touch..that's just touch of many contestant...we have seen many contestant from SRGMP acknowledging that.
