A review of Ajeeb dastaan- the writer has problem with the love -bite thing- just like us😉
" While we know Shobha trusted her husband blindly, but how is it that she never figured that the marks on his neck are not blade marks. Wethinks, one cannot disguise a love bite as a cut mark, come on!"

Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh TV review: Sonali Bendre and Harsh Chhaya breathe life into their characters
Life Ok's biggest show produced by Ekta Kapoor went on air last night and we believe the show is here to stay
Storyline
Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh is the story of Shobha (Sonali Bendre), who is betrayed by her politician husband Samarth (Harsh Chhaya), after nine years of marriage. Shobha is living under the belief that Samarth is an ideal husband and the perfect man. Politics keeps him busy, but she has always been his first priority. On their ninth marriage anniversary, Samarth takes Shobha for a special and romantic dinner and adorns her with gifts and compliments. He seems like the perfect husband, perfect father to their two kids and the ideal son to his mother. During the eve of their anniversary, cops arrest Samarth on the charges of selling confidential defence information and the media shows clippings of his alleged affairs. Within 24 hours, Shobha's world comes crashing down. How she copes up with these new turn of events, financial burden and the humiliation of her husband's actions forms the rest of the story.
You will be wondering, how does Apurva Agnihotri aka Vikram play a role in this story. Well once Shobha is left to fend for her family, she decides to take up a job - something she hasn't done in the past nine years. Vikram reluctantly gives her the job of his secretary in his coffee shop. Well for the rest of the story you will just have to watch the show. Read on to know our first impressions on Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh...
The Good
We now agree with Ekta Kapoor, when she says that no one could do the role of Shobha better than Sonali Bendre. And Harsh Chhaya is never known to give a bad performance in his entire career. Together they truly breathe life into their characters. Sonali looks like an ageless beauty and she essays the character like she has been Shobha her whole life. As Samarth, Harsh has a fine chemistry with Sonali. You can also see layers to his characters, which is very interesting to watch. Considering the first episode only gave a glimpse of Apurva, we can't really judge him on it.
The basic storyline is very clearly etched; in fact, Shobha and Samarth's love story was depicted very beautifully. The nine years of the marriage was summarised in photographs beautifully.
The Bad
Frankly, it is not that easy to pick out the negative attributes of the show just yet. However, they could have picked better child actors to play Shobha's kids. The makers could have been a bit more innovative in selecting Vikram's coffee franchise's name; Just Coffee sounds so blah! While we know Shobha trusted her husband blindly, but how is it that she never figured that the marks on his neck are not blade marks. Wethinks, one cannot disguise a love bite as a cut mark, come on!
Verdict
We believe the show is here to stay and are sure that the audience will love Sonali as Shobha. Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yehs competition is going to have a tough time keeping their viewers.
