Jyoti, I too loved Apu in this kind of avatar where they are making fun of his character in not so subtle ways! He is really coming across as an eccentric and though I initially thought he would be an "angry young man" I am seeing instead a "paranoid young man" which I am loving!
I think its simply great that the CVs have thought of making him a character we can all laugh at, and he bumbles along merrily with his crazy ideas of woman and his crazy interpretations of others' motives and his mad Naani who seems a shade whackier than even he is!
So true Mansi .. I m glad its not the typical angry young man guy we hv seen in the past in many shows .. this is more of a crazy guy who is self obsessed and cleanliness freak .. like u said a paranoid young man who needs anger management asap 😆😆 .. and Apu is really doing it well .. he has put that charm in this character , so even when he does something stupid like wearing monkey cap or hesitating to handshake or cribbing over hairfall , we end up saying so cute and then burst out laughing 😆😆
I am actually wondering how Shobha mother-in-law will react to this Vikram guy! She may lose her self-control if she ever meets him because she looks so staid and without sense of humour! I think she badly needs a dose of Vikram ... I have not seen even a faint smile on her face so far!
The kids are going to have a blast "poking fun" at this guy (literally!)
Shobha's MIL will see him like a small dangerous insect whom she has to smash it off because thats her mentality about middle class peeps .. but I so want Vikram to give his peace of mind to this MIL in future .. she so needs it 😆 .. and yes these kids r gonna hv gala time pulling Vikram's hair out in future 😆
Did you see the way Naani is making him set her hair rollers straight????😆
and her defence was if she can change his diapers in childhood then he too can do this na 😆😆😆
Jyoti, see we have often heard of these "one-track" people who have a narrow life of a few friends and few possessions and are fixed in their attitudes and like to live in that shell. Now for the first time I am actually seeing a serial ka mega hero as a "one-track nutcase"! He has paranoia about his hair fall and shaking hands and just about everything! And even when he gets very angry he gets frustrated rather than mad and I am sure he cannot tear the few hairs he has out of his head!
Hindi serials are coming of age! We have come out of the stone age when heroes had perfection written all over them. Here is guy occupying hero role who is full of holes!
So true .. Vikram in that sense is a loner .. he has only Nani in his family and just one friend in business .. thats it .. so no wonder he keeps pampering his own self with all sort of weird stuffs like wearing moneky caps to prevent hairfall and cleaning hands with tissues after every handshake to prevent any transfer of germs 😆😆 .. Mayb once he finds himself more engaged in something else , he might start changing .. and thats where Shobha comes in the picture 😳
And yes so far we only heard of such men but I dont remember any show so far who actually showed such men .. most men r actually perfectionists or typical mills and boons angry young man but Vikram is neither .. he is actually very real in that sense ,
Jyoti, you won't believe how many women are like that even when they are earning huge salaries themselves. they go home and give everything away to the family kitty and then have to beg the MIL or husband for their pocket money! Seriously, it makes me ashamed of such women who know how to earn but don't know how to keep their own independence. Here there is not even earning capacity in Shobbha because she must be having one of those faltu degrees which are a sign of "education" but not worth anything in the job market!
But did you see in the precap how denigrating this Samarth was when he told his mother "She cannot get any job!" If he has that kindof respect for his wife why will he not womanise without regard for her?
Yes no wonder Samarth was so confidently saying she wont get any jobs .. sighh .. I so want Shobha to prove him wrong now .. yess she might not get an instant job in some MNC at one go but getting a job of a secretary for a coffee house is decent enough for a start and at least she can now held her head high once her own income comes home
This is a good point Jyoti. The biggest learning school is inside one's own family ... especially when the chips are down you will find even friends rally around you but own family is the ones to beware of! They will kill your peace of mind with the so-called concern for you!
Yup own relatives r the ones who either taunt u or backstab u and then u start developing more trust on outsiders .. I can totally see Shobha developing more trust in Vikram later on over her own family members ,.
Yes, this is Ekta in a more mature storytelling avatar. I guess she too has had a maturing experience over the years and besides all other serials are copying her old style, so she can get her TRps soaring by breaking her own mould which others are desperate to copy!
Yup over the time she has really matured enough .. if u see her other shows like yeh hai mohabbatein on star and JA on zee tv and even kumkum show on zee , she has managed to build the stories quite well .. she knows exactly what viewers want and has learnt from her past mistakes too ..
