Ps - I'm first 😃

-----

Today's episode was a treat to watch and fast paced. Sonali's expressions were superb as you mentioned. From being helpless and confused where she doesn't know what to believe to getting hit right in the face with the ugly truth and showing anger. Her expressions were topnotch.

So true .. just loved the way she depicted all the pain and turmoil of Shobha once the truth sinks in .. 👏👏

Totally agree with you. Shobha needed the reality check from her friend otherwise there would have been a lot of ringa ringa roses with her feelings. Again a valid point you analysed; Shobha being an ideal daughter in law will stay in the house just for the sake of having shelter over her children's heads. I wasn't expecting the show to be this fast paced where she got to know about her husband just in the 2nd episode but they pulled it off very well.

I think CVs r moving fast to start the main track of Vikram and Shobha from next week .. the pace might slow down a bit once Shobha starts working for Vikram and the main love track starts 😳

These four things exist in a lot of relationships especially the pati-patni relation. The toughest phase to go through. Vikram's nani seems the relaxed and chilled out kind of person. Obviously completely opposite to Vikram 😆 "we need more men like Vikram" - what my mother said while watching show. Along with being a male chauvinist; he says the truth. As they say "the truth hurts" but Vikram's POV is absolutely correct in some way or the other. He'd rather say the truth than make someone happy with a lie. His unconventional thought make him stand out from the crowd. Even though done unknowingly and indirectly; it is his unconventional thoughts that made Shobha muster up some courage and go face reality.

I so agree ... Vikram might b rude arrogent and blunt .. his words might pinch hard and we might even feell like slapping him on few of his anti-woman comments but he is not fake and is actually telling us the bitter reality ... he appreciates women who r strong reason why he respects his Nani so much but he detests women who actually treat their own self like doormats by giving in to their husband's whims and fancies ..

Samarth was hardly shown in the episode today but with the little space he had, he managed to finally break out of his false and pretentious world. A cheater not only to his wife and family but a traitor to the nation. He turned around and put all the blame on his wife who lived in her own fairy tale which he himself had created for her. Whether to protect her from getting hurt (I doubt it) or to keep his affairs and infidelity a secret. Not a glimpse of regret or sympathy in his eyes and voice while talking to Shobha. I just think his anger is his conscience speaking. Now that he is behind bars and has no control per anything; he wants to make himself better and feel like a man by putting the blame on his wife.

Yes felt bad for Shobha there .. she dint believe anyone but when Samarth himself showed his trust colours and blasts her off , thats it , her world comes crashing down ... 😭

I love your use of vocabulary Jyo. "Doormat" < couldn't have used a better word. Just because ideal wives stay home and take care of the family, keeping it together, it doesn't mean that they are pieces of furniture in the house which can be traded on or used whenever the husband feels like. Shobha is exactly what the term "doormat" is suppose to represent. She believed that her life was complete with a loving husband and family. Little did she know that her husband cared for no one except his image.

Actually I guess doormat is the word Vikram uses while he is speaking to his friend about women .. we need to appreciate Vikram's vocabulary in this case 😆😆... no wonder that word hits Shobha hard and she decides to confront Samarth and find out the truth

OMG Shobha's friend. A carbon copy of Vikram in a formal version 🤣 if it wasn't for her then Shobha would have been stuck in a loop. A very straight forward and blunt woman who speaks the truth and nothing but the truth. What she said is absolutely true and definitely applaud able. As they say "a friend in need is a friend indeed" Usha was a perfect friend. In this sense she was more of an advisor and guider who came as a ray of light in Shobha's life while she played the damsel in distress. If only most women would think like her. I hope they show her often cause I liked her character 😆

Yeah at least she dint ask her to compromise unlike Shobha's own mother .. she just showed the real mirror to Shobha and prepared her mentally for future .. loved her ..

Again; I liked how you've pointed out Vikram's monkey cap as a protective shell. Locked up in his own world and not willing to change anything even the size of a grain of sand 😆 .. I also thought that maybe he had fallen in love before and things didn't go so well therefore he has put up this protective barrier around himself. (Shobha should change this soon 😉)

yup I feel that only .. there must b some reason why he has such strong opinions about women na .. either he was betrayed by some girl or mayb his mother left him or something like that 🤔

It should be interesting to watch Shobha being given a harsh reality check by Vikram when she joins his coffee shop. After Samarth broke Shobha's illusion of a fairy tale with his reality of deceit, infidelity, stone hearted "personality" ; I hope Vikram completely transforms Shobha into a 'no nonsense' kind of woman who knows how to face situations without backing down and depending on other people.

I m sure Shobha will learn a lot about real world from Vikram while Vikram too will learn a lot about being happy from Shobha .. they both can actually learn a lot from each other 😳

The show seems to be taking an interesting tun. Really excited for tomorrow. Let's see how these two men affect Shobha's life.

same here .. excited for tomorrow 😃

Amazing analysis Jyo 🤗

awesome take dear 🤗

Jyo, once again a brilliant take on the episode and the journey ahead 👏⭐️

Today's was yet again a brilliant episode, with the central essence being the phases of Denial...Anger... Acceptance and move on

Those 4 words were so apt na ... in real life too its the same when it comes to some bitter reality of our lives ..

Before we start special mention to Sonali, she was flawless and effortless through various phases of reality shown today. Her eyes, body language, expressions, voice everything just took Shoba's shattered and anguished state a notch up. Kudos to Sonali for pulling off Shoba so convincingly and so effortlessly 👏

So true .. for a minute I forgot its Sonali and she just remained Shobha for me .. she got into the skin of the character so effortlessly and is literally living Shobha's life .. 👏👏👏

Coming to the episode, there are quite a few poignant scenes laid out on a well paced episode.

Shobha and Usha

A friend is not one who stands by you physically and lends a shoulder to cry on and end the tears temporarily, but a friend is one who stands upfront before you only to make you realize the err you are committing, they will be harsh to you and make you see the truth and cry for once, so that you can see a better tomorrow.

Usha and Shobha are friends, very good friends, but each have differing views and opinions, Shobha wants to be in denial phase and hold on to Samarth while Usha wants her to accept the truth and move out.

A.K. says Shobha needs some time, but Usha says if she is given time now, she will be away from truth for a longer period and that means more heart and more pain, when you know it, one has to face it and accept it rather than deny or postpone it.

Shobha's phase here was completely denial, she requests AK for his bail, she says Samarth is framed not because she trusts him, but because he told her to trust him hence she will trust him and will stay away from the harsh truth by convincing herself yes my husband is not wrong, he is innocent... A phase of denial

So true Munni especially your last para .. Shobha does things that Samarth always tells her to do and trust too is included in this .. she trusts him because he told her to do so ,. it will b right to say she really dint hv a brain of her own till today when Usha gives her the reality chk and makes her realise that she is in plain denial but the sooner she accepts the truth , better for her sanity ...

I loved how Usha dint give any fake sympathy to Shobha but just asked her to accept the reality and move on .. yeah its not easy but at least it motivated her to go in search for the truth ..

Shobha and her Mom

This was like any other mom daughter scene, where a mom doesn't want her daughter to face the cruel TRUTH which shatters her and breaks her down. she is being protective and wanting to protect her daughter in a very comfortable bubble, because the truth is what pricks the bubble, which only breaks the her who is living inside it. This is a phase which seals her in the denial state

Also I felt the mother was a bit selfish too .. she just does not want Shobha to break her marriage due to this .. she knows her daughter well and so was sure that if she finds out the truth , she might even want to walk out of this marriage which might put the family reputation and image at stake .. so she wanted her daughter to just compromise and keep quiet

Shobha and Vikram

Vikram's indirect words, straight, crisp, harsh, blunt BUT true, he true words like "married women are doormats" is offending, the sentiments of women, but it is true, the thing is here Vikram is generalizing it and being judgmental about women, but that doesn't make his words wrong as truth is truth, one has to face it .

Why Usha's words did not hit Shobha and why Vikram's did, here he picks up and generalizes married woman and their identity and their individuality and also here the context is different, here Vikram doesn't say one dimensional words that Samarth is wrong ...like Usha said. , but his words were about his secretary not accepting the fact of being "moti" even when she is .. it's denial, it's non-acceptance, it's continuing to lie to ourselves and live in delusion, rather than facing it and accepting, what Shoba;s one dimensional direct words couldn't Vikram's indirect words could do. At times truth will be better accepted when you are looking at it from 3rd person's perspective, because when we see it from our perspective, we tend to go into the comfortable zone and will not be ready to face it

So true .. Vikram was talking about his fat secretry but Shobha could connect the situation with her own self and could realise that she too is in denial without even bothering to find out the truth ... somewhere I m sure she knew its the truth because of that hickey .. so just like the fat secretry knew she is fat yet was in denial , same for Shobha , she too knew her husband did cheat on her but she wanted to b in denial till she gets this indirect reality chk from Vikram at the right time .. 👍🏼...

So yeah Vikram's words does prick hurt as they r brutally honest but in this case it helps someone in finally developing that courage to confront her husband instead of remaining a doormat ..

But he is quite a judgemental guy and has a habbit of stereotying all women into one category only .. there is definitely some reason why he has such strong opinion regarding women 🤔

The TRUTH

there are 2 phases here, one she sees probably for the first time, Samarth shouting and yelling at her and blaming her and accusing her for the problems she is creating. She is more than shocked, those words couldn't sink in, yet she is not shattered here .

the next phase is the harsh reality, which she over hears where Samarth proudly accepts how smart he has been over the years with his innumerable affairs but this time this girl outsmarted him. the ground slipped away from under her feet, such is the impact of the truth, her voice and her throat didn't give away to let out her anguished and distraught state but her eyes paved way for the anger errupting as volcano with in her., she is yet controlled, she did not run inside or confront him, or lash out at him, rather she walked towards the car where her hands, feet, her mind and heart nothing were in her limits, her tears had their own way out... her shaky voice, her trembling hands showed a shattered Shobha, incredible performance by Sonali

Aaah that car scene gave me goosebumps .. her entire body was trembling ... she just could not believe what just happened in last 24 yrs .. all that 9 yrs of love , trust everything gone down the drain .. she was shivering from head to toe as suddenly she finds herself all alone in crowd with noone to really console her either because the focus is more on Samarth's bail matter ... wonderful performance by Sonali indeed 👏👏👏

I really want to see how she accepts it fully and then decides to move on in life .. I m sure she wont get much of family's support ... it will b her individual struggle and it will b interesting to see how she overcomes it all alone ..

Vikram and his Naani

Aaahh me love this Vikram's character and his relation with his naani, I loved it, Naani is so much fun, modern and she knows his way how to deal and work around with someone like Vikram 😆 Naani is pretty cool with ice cream, rollers, cards and driving, me already loving her.
Vikram really is obsessed with his hair lol, but he comes across quite logical practical and prejudiced against women even in the last scene he says it must be a female driver .

Jyo, true that and there surely must have been some woman in the past which is giving us the officially prejudiced against women in MR.Vikram 😆

He doesn't want trying he wants get going and results, whatever his past is but Vikram is very sorted and practical and logical man, and true gain Jyo, he is also in a denial phase in a sense right

Vikram Shobha's journey will be that of mutual exchange of practicality/logic and little happiness and breathing life and not leading it like a robot. Their journey will balance out the excessive perfection and mechanics of Vikram's life and excessive emotional and compassionate side of Shobha.

In Ekta shows , these Nanis r more cool than the Sasumas na 😆😆 .. Me too loved this modern Nani ...

And yes Vikram somewhere is prejudiced and in denial too about women .. he will not admit the fact that his Nani is a women too and she is not a doormat from any angle 😆.. wonder the reason behind his prejudices ... will b interesting to see Shobha too at times giving him a reality chk in future 😆😆

Shobha and Kids

The little scene with her kids showed however shattered she is, she will be the strong mom for her kids and keeping away from the harshness of the world, be it by taking away the tab or not sending to school. Once the acceptance phase is over , she will be embark a new journey for herself and her kids.

It was a lovely moment .. she does not want the kids to go into any sort of depression .. for them its their father afterall who will always remain a hero no matter what happens .. loved the way she handled the kids with a smiling face even when tears were so much visible in her eyes 😭😭

Waiting for a striking and lightening meeting of Vikram and Shobha , and I think now slowly the family members truth will come to the fore like Tarun was always known to Samarth's truth but never bother to share it with Shobha, so more truths and more broken trusts and moving on !!

Why I feel mayb that MIL too was aware of the reality .. but he is her son afterall , so remained quiet .. even Shobha's mother might b knowing it reason why she was asking Shobha to just accept it ... Poor girl was the only one kept in dark all these yrs I guess .. no wonder she goes against all and decides to look out for a job and live life on her own terms and conditions 👍🏼

So true about Vikram .. his dialogues especially about women can make all the mahila mandals go insane and set out a morcha against him 😆😆 but he is so damn honest .. such men r always a better option than Samarth types who likes to create an illusionary world around their wives while themselves hving fun outside 🤢🤢

Usha was a bitter truth for Shobha & she also said wake up & snell the coffee 👍🏼 !! Today Important dynamics lead in Shobha's life from various sides her own good friend Vikram hitting the nail in her head & she also listening to Samarth's back slash & overhearing some heartbreaking truth!!

Really felt bad for her .. not even in her wildest dreams she could imagine her anniversary to b such a nightmare na especially the way Samarth shouts at her and she discovers the real face of her husband after 9 odd yrs .. no wonder she was too shell shocked to actually react to anything

The car scene later was brilliant by Sonali her sense were all splashed here & there & to collect them together & drive was a lot on her hands. & with that reversing & hitting Vikram's vehicle !!

I wonder if her car going backwards and hitting Vikram's car had any sort of symbolism especially the way Vikram captures it in his phone to note down the car no. 🤔

Loving the pace just rite as each portion has its lines drawn to move in the track for Shobha to see what is in store & Vikram's quest to get some one who will realize the reality of life in the open world 👏

yes so far so good in terms of pace and story telling .. cant wait for the next episode now 😳

after today's episode I would like to believe that the MIL and Shoba's mother as well knows the truth about Samarth, when Shoba's sister husband is the confidant and the one who is covering up all these years .. how couldn't her sister and mother or any family member NOT know I too think it's only Shobha and Garima who are not aware of the so called harsh truth
and other point you have mentioned, Samarth is illusion a mirage he is nothing what he appears to be while Vikram is all about honesty and truth !! keeping aside his generalizing of all women formula

Roghtly said about Mother & MiL now see her mom says that you havw to be with him dor the rest of your life & ur kids.. This mentality still exists with the mother side stating that you r wesded to that family its ur life take whatever comes with it & these down aide will also be a part & otherwise if you think of revolting society & people will condem us as parents ! I juat fwlt that they the cvs & the story wanted to project this also as in any household it could occur & the girl & her family faces humilation if the girl tries to break ties with her husband due to these scenarios. Presentation was moving in that direction between the mom & daughter in the coffee shop.

^ Fabulous analysis of episode by u, Jyo, Munni and Pooja! 👏
Shobha friend Usha's lecture to Shobha outside police station was bang on! 👏
Except for Shobha and Garima.. all know abt Samarth's EMA thingy.. 😲
Shobha's mom lecture on sticking to ur hubby inspite of him doing anything.. jst for kids sake is such sick mentality.. 🤢
If man does EMA then ok.. wife has to accept him back.. 🤢 I ask if woman does EMA as revenge then will her hubby accept it? 😈
I want Shobha to have EMA with Vikram..
Shobha should say to Samarth and society that "Voh kare to rasleela aur hum kare to character dheela?" 😈 Why u .. a man have diff set of rules and me.. a woman have diff set of rules? Rules should be same for all na? 😉

Yeah it will be nice to see that on T.V

But yet women in Indian society are seen upon as conservative...so in a way I am quite sure that it won't be accepted by society at large.. And hence won't make it to silver screen..

Yeah ..me too want to see vikram and Shobha start a fling..Anyhow, my dirty mind started imagining it now and of course would be eager to see it in future...😆

absolutely right. vikram type of men are way too better than Samrath type of men.
vikram said it right. we are all followers of Gandhi ji. but the only difference is we cant hear truth , we cant see truth & we cant speak truth. 👏

Lovely analysis Jyoti..

The pace is indeed very very good. we had one break for ads though. Would it increase to two or remain one?? But I guess it also means the show has garnered quite a bit of attention with its first KA-BHOOM beginning.

Really hope this emotional roller coaster ride gives some mind blowing turns in the upcoming days.
