Yes Teena i love saress... all kinds, silks and chiffons and cottons. i usually like the handicraft kind of sarees: bandhni, kantha, various kinds of bengali sarees, sambalpuri etc etc.
And i'm sure we're not allowed to discuss sarees here, so will bring it back to adhm. I would have liked to see Rusty in the above kind of sarees... not in a sari always, but once in a while would have been nice. 😃

I have few questions...but will link it to Rusty... I dont know about Sambhalpuri...??? Cotton saris don't look very good on screen...I guess... 😛Kantha, bandhni I like ...but they are too simple and ordinary for screen.
Darling to tell you the truth , I am not obsessed with sarees... 😊 simple life...jeans and tops. 😆
so would have loved Rusty in those only.. 😃

I like Saris in general for dressing up 😛 …. But do not think they are practical for daily wear 😕 … I do too much running around to be in a Sari all the time … also living in the West makes it totally impossible to wear a sari most of the places as it's usually taken as a sensuous evening dress by the Westerners 😉.

Sari is very glamorous but the impact of it's mysteriousness 😉 largely depend on the person who is carrying (wearing) it 😛 ….. it has to be worn elegantly to come out as "one of a kind" that is specially designed for the person who is wearing it 👏 … I personally like this special image of a sari 😉😛

Since ADHM is an Indian soap and the location of the story was also India … I was very disappointed 😭 when Rusty/Mathura/Biji no one worn a Sari ever. 😭

Traditional Saris are not in the fashion trends now … and also agreed bold prints and very busy patterns would not have looked good on screen …. But there are chiffon, lace and crepe silk saris available in solid background with different variations of embroidery on them to dress it up 😉 … They could have tried those at least. 🤢 😭

Hey Shahnaz...I also like sarees but on other people😃.....for me wearing saree and going out means ...no time for breakfast😉......no other work...😉....only me and my saree....😆😆... anyway coming back to ADHM...since it was a story of Punjab and sikh family....I think they prefer salwaar Kameez for most of the occasions...as we saw Mathura and beeji...that was true...they dress up like them and Mathura's jewellery part was also true...😊

But Rusty being the lead actress shud have tried😊.....she tried once..in that restaurant scene...Wasn't it on special request by forum members...I guess?😊

As far as Sarees are concerned ...as I said earlier...silk is not preferred these days....cotton is not elegant for screen...so left out is chiffons, crepe, thread work or embroidery.....as you said😊...I have seen Rusty's modelling snaps... I really found her amazing in those😊.... I think they did not portray her suitably...😕. She could have looked more elegant and sensuous in every way...😉😃

You are right Teena 😊 .. for some reason Rusty's character was portrayed very noncommittally 😭 😭 unlike other soap female leads 🤢 . She could have done much better with a little bit of help 😕 ….

You know I think in this serial...dress designers, hair dressers...etc. could do better job... Bearing in mind the screen presence of actors.... there could have been lots of glamour than what was visible... 😊
