I just saw this thread ... A quick point regarding TRP's.
Unlike the mobile sms's trp cannot be manipulated that easily. It is an indicator that the advertisors (The people who actually make the TV channel guys most money) use to decide on which serial to advertise in and how much money to pay

Television Rating Points - TRP is the criterion that indicates the popularity of a channel or programme and this data is very useful for the advertisers
Presently, INTAM (Indian Television Audience Measurement) is the only electronic rating agency functioning in India. INTAM uses two methodologies for calculating TRP. First is frequency monitoring, in which 'people meters' are installed in sample homes and these electronic gadgets continuously record data about the channel watched by the family members. 'People meter' is a costly equipment, which is imported from abroad. It reads the frequencies of channels, which are later, decoded into the name of the channels and the agency prepares a national data on the basis of its sample homes readings. But there is a drawback in the technique, as cable operators frequently change the frequencies of the different channels before sending signals to the homes. It may be very misleading to read a channel according to a particular frequency even if the down linking frequency is same all over India.

Second technique is more reliable and relatively new to India. In picture matching technique people meter continuously records a small portion of the picture that is being watched on that particular television set. Along with this agency also records all the channels' data in the form of small picture portion. Data collected from the sample homes is later on matched with the main data bank to interpret the channel name. And this way national rating is produced.

So INTAM's buisness is this and they will go through extraordinary length to insure that this is fair so that people can buy their services.

Sweetdream re the TRP being the highest with Samay ... not before it please get the historical data from balaji site. I am not saying that he is bad but just saying that he is not a STAR as of yet weather he gets there or not time will tell

kingsd: i do not know about the business of TRP's much but what I do know is that this forum started getting more hits and ADHM was featured as one of the highest rated/vistited sections on india forums after samay's entry. The Chaskameter was highest rated by the members as well.
Its obvious how radically this drama has changed...the track has turned around and new good actors have been introduced as well.
if i could look up historical trp's for u i would but i only recall from my memory someone posting the increase in TRP's for adhm a while back.
Obviously it is not ONLY Samay's entry but the combined work of all the people (all the great actors and the director, script etc) but lets give credit to Gaurav Chopra where its due.

I agree with sweetdreamz 100%. I wach ADHM only and only for Gaurav Chpraa 👏 ....

TRP increase or decrease does not matter at all to me. Saumya's acting is good no doubt .... but we definitely have better female actors 😉 in tellywood. But when it comes to male actors .... Gaurav is the best 👏 .

Saumya emotes well in sad and emotional scenes 😊 but in love related passionate scenes she is still lacking big time 😕 .... it could be due to the script or poor direction I am not sure 😕 .

Actually if she just keeps quiet she comes out as more passionate 😕 than when she becomes lovey dovey with Gaurav ... It's just my opinion 😊 .

Yes I agree too . soumya is good in emotional and in serious scenes.
I don t understand myself but there is something about Gaurav . He has brought magic to this show.

I watch adhm only because of Samay and Rusty they are very good together. especially the NOV 13th episode I must of watched it over 50 times, they were so good together.

I just watched it 3 times but loved every bit of it and i must agree saumya is hesitant in her scenes with gaurav like she's holding back.She doesn't give her 100% in romantic scenes. I wonder why cuz being working with gaurav for such a long time shud have helped her open up .I wonder how long i can watch sam put up with an icy rusty.

I feel the same Horizon . How long can we wait from Rusty .
