The first divorce on this show?

Will we ever have a divorce on this show?😊😊

If there is, where do we start?😲

Let's start with :

  • Shekhar: he has to divorce Siddheshwari to make Laali his legal wife. He is currently living in sin with Laali, ain't he?
  • Laali: She has to divorce Ganesiya, her first husband, and Dr. Shailendra Singh, her third husband, if she wants to make her marriage with Shekhar legal. 😑
  • Madhur: He has to divorce Suman if he wants to marry Rekha.
  • Ranvijay: He has to divorce Rekha if he wants to get rid of her.πŸ˜•
  • Rekha: She has to divorce Ranvijay if she wants to hook up with Madhur.πŸ˜•
  • Suman: She has to give Madhur a divorce out of the kindness of her heart so that Madhur and Rekha can hook up.πŸ˜•

Aaah! What a tangled web the CVs have weaved!!

Dream on about the divorce because in the society those people live in it does not exist only polygmy existsπŸ‘πŸ‘ConfusedπŸ˜πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†. They need a crash course in divorcing one before marrying another one. πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
Perhaps they do not know the defnition of a divorce...πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†.
They are in big trouble with this divorce concept.
I think the CVS do not understand the concept either, so how can we expect them to implement it.πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†. I don't the the CVs are weaving a tangled web, more like a confused and stupid web with crooked weaving....πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†.
Why divorce when it is a waste of time and money for these people...πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

You know, after so many months of watching AJ I am still waiting for a divorce to happenπŸ˜•. Right now, the only culprits are Shekhar and Laali.😑 If Madhur and Rekha want to marry each other, then their partners will have to divorce them. πŸ˜ƒ

I am hoping that one day, a divorce lawyer descends on the Loha house with divorce papers in hand and asks Shekhar to divorce Siddy, Laali to divorce her two husbands; Madhur and Ranvijay to divorce their wives

Yeah! Dream on!!!πŸ˜ƒπŸ€£πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜†

But seriously, is polygamy a fact in Bihar! If yes, then something is really rotten in the state of Bihar. 😑

Can someone please clarify this matter before I shoot off my mouth and get into trouble with peoples of that state? Someone preferably from Bihar since the CVs do not seem to know anything about the concept of divorce.

I do not know if marrying mutliple wives is a fact of life in Bihar, but it would be good know.
I think sometimes the creatives are just making up their own story about this divorce thing to make the audience crazy and fastincated with the subject. That is there job I guess or they have no more story ideas....πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

No polygamy is not the norm in Bihar (I'm a Bihari who's went there several times in rural areas)...what kind of dumb stupid question is tht? And nor do we all act like Loha and Ranvijay...

Geez what kind of idiocy is spreading!

With this kind of stereotype one would think that child marriages happen in Rajasthan only to this day!

For those who have been following the show from the onset would know that only Shekhar would need to divorce Siddy and not Lali since she was never married to either Ganeiysha or Dr. Shaliendra. She was promised to Ganeiysha as a girl, but when her father wen to fix the marriage, Ganeisyha's father wanted to $10,000. dowry so the marriage did not take place, that was when the fake marriage took place when Ranvijay came to collect her. Dr. Shaliendra never married her as well although she got the title of Thakurain, wore the mangalsutra, sindoor and bangles...they never had a sughaat raat since he wanted wait until she regained her memory. She did all this to keep her promise to Dr. Shalinendra's deceased wife.

As for Rekha, Madhur, Suman and Ranvijay, I totally agree. Maybe they can all divorce and Rekha married Madhur since they actually love each other and Ranvijay and Suman could get married since they are both negative.

Correct me if I am wrong ...

Ragarding Ganesiya ... I thought Laali was waiting for her Gauna to take place. Gauna takes place after the marriage, does it not? Or does it happen before marriage?

Regarding Dr. Singh: Whether Laali and Dr. Singh consummated their marriage or not, is a moot point. The fact is they got married which is how she got to be called Thakurain, got to wear the sindoor, and the mangalsutra, and the reason the old lady wanted Laali to have Dr. Singh's child. You don't wear those things (sindoor and mangalsutra) for fashion.

I would have been happy if the CVs in only one sentence would have a divorce lawyer say that since the marriage was not consummated in either Ganesiya or Dr. Singh's cases , Laali can now be divorced from her two husbands ... making them her former husbands. We are still waiting for that to happen. πŸ˜•

As for child marriages, we as viewers do understand that it (plus so many myriads of other things) still surreptitiously go on without the authorities knowledge (same as what happens in other countries) ... but it was the polygamy part that really had me thoroughly confused.

I am still confused.πŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜•

For the purposes of this show, I don't think Laali actually took Pheres with Ganesiya.
Dr. Singh confirmed (right after Suman's wedding) that Laali and he never took pheres.
And technically, divorce all has to do with legalities. But, as far as I know, Hinduism doesn't have a concept of divorce (if so, what's the word - talaaq is urdu). So since it doesn't look like any of these marriages were actually registered (and in villages, sometimes births and deaths aren't either), then there really isn't a legal reason to get divorced.
But, the point is correct that too many of these characters are married to one, but then staying with another ... it's too much in this serial (more than others).

Thanks Samirah! You clarified a lot of things. It was only Shekhar and Laali actually, who were the main culprits. Shekhar had two wives - Siddy and Laali (Shekhar married Laali without divorcing Siddy); and Laali, who had three husbands.

So since it doesn't look like any of these marriages were actually registered (and in villages, sometimes births and deaths aren't either), then there really isn't a legal reason to get divorced.

This is a good point, and accounts for Ganesiya and Laali's marriage. Some sort of ceremony had taken place at her house after she was sold off and right before she came to the Loha house. When Laali came to the Loha house (thinking her Gauna had taken place), and she thought Shekhar was her husband, all she wanted him to do was to apply sindoor, that is all. Therefore, I can only assume that the pheres must have taken place. Laali always wore sindoor but of a different color. After the gauna, the husband would apply the red colored sindoor, that was my understanding. She always referred to Ganesiya as her husband, and she had returned to him once also in the early part of the series, but left after meeting him very briefly. Mmmm ... something to ponder about ....

Dr. Singh confirmed (right after Suman's wedding) that Laali and he never took pheres.

I listen very carefully to AJ's dialog, (I always have) but I am sure I never heard Dr. Singh say this. However, I could be mistaken. I will have to go back and listen to that again. But if Laali wasn't married to him, what was she doing, sleeping in his bedroom (albeit on the floor at the foot of his bed. )

Thanks again Samirah!

It is correct that Dr.Singh confirmed right after sumans wedding that he and Laali never took pheres. After he made that statement i am pretty sure he said he wanted to do it right then and there so it would be legal. And of course it did not happen. So, Laali is only married to Shekhar.. Shekhar however, is married to both his first wife and Laali as far as i can see...
