Help Me

Firstly I'm not an Indian but I like to watch some of the Indian Soap Operas as well as some of the Bollywood movies courtesy of Zeetvusa. Now I like Agle Janam because it started off as something different and it was refreshing especially for sore eyes due to watching the many nonsense that took place in Kasamh Se 😡 😆.

It's when I came to this forum I learned through the members that the story is base on real life issues like the whole selling of the daughters. Honestly I didn't even know that things like that existed in Indian but it makes you think that even though things might be bad in your neck of the woods it's still alot better because somewhere else it's worst.

Now a question, are there such men like Loha in India? I mean he has done some bad things in the past but today today was the last straw for me. Yes I know it's just a show but please don't view it as a dumb question because I truly believe in learning about life in other countries besides your own.

Yes there are men Like Loha in India if you talking about Ratna's issue, and how he his, in one way selling his daughter. But i would say there are very few, and most of them would be poor like Laali's parents and be forced to do this.

There is a lot of inequality for girls in India, it's always the boys who are preferred, Like Loha's waaris. So even if they are rich they will care more about their sons and for daughters, they just want to marry them off in a good family (now even here the family is good, it has a lot of reputation). And some people just look at the family, they don't care about the boy, ow how weel he's educated.

Now let me tell you though that these days girls are getting a lot more freedom in picking their life partners and also the modern parents they don't interfere much in who the boy is, though his family should still be reputable, or same class as them. That's still there i think in majority of the families.
