GEC Watch: Colors is No. 1 again; five of its shows are in the top 10

Colors seems to be consolidating its No. 1 position. In Week 44 too, it is at the top with 340 GRPs, as per data by TAM Media Research. It has grabbed 24 per cent share of the overall Hindi GEC pie (C&S, 4+, HSM).

STAR Plus and Zee TV are at No. 2, with 243 and 234 GRPs, respectively. The channels have garnered a relative share of 17 per cent each. At No. 3 is Sony, which has garnered 160 GRPs and a share of 11 per cent.

DD1 has zoomed ahead to the No. 4 spot with 139 GRPs, leaving NDTV Imagine behind, which has managed to rake in 103 GRPs. Their channel shares stand at 10 and 7 per cent, respectively.

SAB TV and STAR One have 5 and 3 per cent channel share, respectively, followed by Sahara One, which has garnered 2 per cent share. 9X and STAR Utsav have a channel share of 1 per cent each.

Coming to the most watched programmes on Hindi GECs, five of Colors' shows are in the top 10 in Week 44. 1/Uttaran is the top rated show with a TVR of 8.6; followed by2/ Balika Vadhu which has 7.3 TVR. 3/Na Aana Is Des Laado, at No. 3, recorded a TVR of 5.8. STAR Plus' two shows follow -- 4/Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and 5/Bidaai have garnered 5.6 and 5.5 TVRs, respectively.

The other programmes in the top 10 list are:6/ Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, 7/Pavitra Rishta, 8/Chhoti Bahu, 9/Bairi Piya and 10/Bigg Boss.
