Annoying Sidd

I don't know about you guys but I find the character of Siddheshwari to be very annoying. I agree that all women or at least most of us love clothes, make up and jewellery but not to the exclusion of everything and everyone around us. People should matter more than material thing. How can she be so naive in believing that making Shekhar lose the race will gain his attention. He could have been hurt in the process, in this case Laali was which has led to him being more drawn to Laali rather than Sid herself. Could there possible be more to this character?

I am with you on this. I personally dont find Siddheshwari innocent or silly. I find her downright mean and selfish, even manipulative. There was no Gangiya, when Siddheshwari abandoned Shekhar while they were running. There was no Gangiya or Ranvijay when Siddheshwari carelessly told Sekhar off so long as her comforts are untouched.

Siddheswari is a selfish person. Perhaps a little mentally challenged (can't explain otherwise how fixated she is over herself). She is obviously immature - maybe she is mildly retarded - having the mind of a 10 year old?!! That can be the only explanation i can think of. Sometimes parents marry their mentally challenged daughters hoping that the marriage will mature them or change them in some way. Perhaps that is the case with Siddeshwari.
