Hey,tell me one thing when a Girl is being SOLD..... why purify her whren she's going to go thru' all dirty truths after being Sold?? This isn;t anything Pious or Religious going on then Why do this PAAP Of Selling a Young Woman with pious Mantras in a Sacred Temple?? I did not Understand!!😲What's the 'logic'?? Chanting Mantra will wash away the Sins of the people who are tricking this Innocent lady in this dangerous plot?

The shuddikaran is to cleanse Laali of her low-caste family background so that she can be brought into the Thakur's high caste family. Obviously, the act of buying a girl in the first place contradicts the purification of Laali. I also agree it is wrong but I guess that is what the high caste family think is right...

actually I have never heard of such a custom. In fact, when a low caste visits a high caste family, the high caste family then do the shudhikaran of the house and whtever item low caste touched.. by pouring holy water...

I am not sure this happens today, but this is what my granny's generation used to follow 50 yrs back...

Its crazy how some things havent changed in soo many years.. These things still happen in so many parts of the country!! :(

Maybe the high caste folks just want to save time by purifying the low caste people before entering the house...pouring holy water on everything they touch has got to be time consuming!
