In Hindu Culture it is not important in every caste to wear mangalsutra . it depends on the particular person's choice whether she likes to wear or not .

It's mainly the custom of Television that women wear Maglasutra but in reality specially in north this is not mandatory very few woman wears Magalsutra due to custom and some wear do to fashion.
