Unwinding: Where is the respite ?
The other news about Krishna and Pinto being back together...feels something really amiss. Its as if I am taken on a roller coaster ride. All the last 5 episodes drama needed cathartic unwinding. And instead of that catharsis for Krishna, or Pinto our two leads, it was like changing clothes, moving one scene from another just like that.
I mean what did they both realize about the entire drama?
That Krishna is afraid of losing everyone she may love through this job. So did she commit that favor of releasing Ganga which was clearly known to her that it would not look good to any one (especially her DC) ? Where was her pain, dilemma expressed. It was nice to see that concern for Pinto took upper berth in her mind and her removal from the case was pushed to lower berth.
But does it speak of love or infatuation or the state of being in love.
If her state of being in love drove her to release Ganga, Pinto was not in the same state when he had to do something for his family. He kinda did the opposite. Pushed love down and put family and his familial duty higher.
And What did Pinto realize ? That he should not have been so hard on her to endanger Krishna's job. That's it ?😕 He did not realize that her love for him is making her go dodgy. Where was that personal realization, if this was all about their love being tested.
I mean if the unwinding of all that drama had to be seeing Pinto and Krishna back together, then where was the mutual understanding at the same level. It was only complimenting each other, but the hard time that their love faced over last few days, it showed that not only complimenting, they needed to be supplementing to each other as well.
I did not realize that there are two spellings for same pronunciation "komplement" 😆
Anyways I meant above "Complementing" as in completing each other.
When Pinto put his efforts over Vidya's release, it worked for both of them. That was complementary action and result was win-win for either of them. There was no consequential loss to anyone. And Pinto made that clear through his action and dialogue when BDO actually confronts him over his involvement. Desired result and resolved on both sides.
When Pinto puts his efforts over Ganga's release, things went murkier for one of them. Krishna as the BDO and as the woman (daughter, ex-student, girl, girl-friend, i mean in relative capacity to all who were displeased with her) loses. It was lose-lose for only one person Krishna Raj in official and unofficial capacity.
So in my opinion, there should have been a take-home for the person who lost it all. That take home was the realization that spirits were down for Krishna Raj and she did feel that she was not feeling equal to justify herself to work and to demand of people whom she loves and she wanted time off the work that was causing all this.
Question: Was only work causing this ? Is Krishna going to address only pressure from her work?
1) Where was she tackling her Brother's demands in individual capacity back at home that affect her work and especially for the unethical means he is employing?
2) When is Krishna going to correct her mother's fallacies ? Foremost why not silence the mother by listening to the most basic things she wants you to listen to her ? As far as I remember, Saraswati was not asking much. She wanted to discuss with her daughter about house-hold economic matters. Krishna never gave her the time even as the earning member now, she needs to give this time. These kind of things starts making holes in the relationship, Don't tell me I am talking irrelevant. 70% of house-hold strife and fights are related to finances. Remember the scene when Sarawasti asks her to heed to house hold matters and off Krishna runs to confess her liking for Pinto ?
3) if the above two things can be dismissed as "I don't want to deal with these two morons and they don't count much over my welfare and progress" and Krishna continues to ignore them by looking at her future which is Pinto. Her promising future created more havoc than her good for nothing brother. So is Krishna okay with this outcome ? He yelled at her in front of the police station asserting personal authority before her official capacity.
Imagine tomorrow these two are married and same thing gets repeated. Does it look good ?
May be Krishna does not feel anything when anyone yells at her, like Ravi, Saraswati, Pinto or even Pinky (her cousin) calling her Koyla Khadaan, all of them when she is a BDO. However what does it augur for a bystander like me ? That Krishna cannot balance between her personal and professional life.
So far she has failed miserably. She could not do one thing that millions of working woman manage it with ease with their families. Here please note that I will not find fault with Bandana Tiwari the screen play writer of AB. Previously she penned for Dor (Maayke se bandhi Dor), There is a working girl there, so that means she knows how communication can be managed between work life and family life...bonding closely with leading person of the home which is generally the mother.
Even now Krishna is behaving as the errant son of the family, who listens with one ear and lets it go over another. How long she will be like this with her mother instead of addressing her ? Until the mother actually forces in the most idiotic oppressive manner. Will I blame Saraswati for it ? No way. Girl you give me all the wrong vibes, then how can I trust you ?
Even if as a bystander, I forgive Krishna not managing her brother, mother and her cousins (BDP family), let's see her love interest. Pinto. Would she fail to ask him even once what made him think she was trapping him ? If she cannot keep account of these small but important details, then how will she manage her marriage when it starts hitting rough waters. Where is the communication that needs to make each of them aware that there was a misunderstanding and that it is all forgotten in the hope that it does not recur in future ? Instead, all she shows is smiles and some reservation towards physical touch. Reservation towards touch was always there with Krishna, even when they had no misunderstanding..remember previous hand-holding from Pinto...they repeat this so often that later we can have pretty interesting drama later...of course I am gonna enjoy it...but coming to now, that reservation towards touch can also be miscontrued as her shy nature. Between her smile, her wanting to call him over phone, and the reservation, it all seemed same coyness..and not the reservation from events of past few days. The morning scene had more reservation because of the demotion she felt from DC's action. That was a natural state.
Agreed love does not mean holding grudge. Agreed love does not mean having to say sorry (love story style). But love story style, love also means holding each other accountable towards creation and maintenance of trust element...nurturing love itself. Towards that where is the small anger, a reproachment shown ? Where is the hurt shown ? Don't tell me you chose to forgave everything and do not want to show it. Then that means this relationship is like Devdas and Chandramukhi. Chandramukhi who does not say anything and just loves because she knows Devdas' heart does not belong to her. But I think we all agree that Pinto loves Krishna in Devdas -Paro style. I mean look at Pinto today the way he demanded, "Come outside. I feel like seeing you" There was more love, feeling of possession on his side and a promise that if given a proper direction, he would do anything to keep it. He clearly shows his love is pure and it just needs nuturing.
Krishna seriously needs to put efforts in nurturing relationships around her rather than fearing that she will lose all of them if she cannot make them happy with the toys that they demand from her. She needs to present them with alternate happiness if she cannot fulfill it in the way they want her to. Means can be n number of ways for the same End.
This was my take home that i wanted to see and which did not happen. Marriage happening under these circumstances does not bode well for the two.
And that's why I said Krishna and Pinto need to supplementing each other as well. They need extra efforts in supporting each other. And both need to be acknowledging about that to each other and then each start working on their family members perceptions about each other.
If the writers are indeed aiming for the viewer to have this kind of perception, then they succeeded. But if it just so happened like this, then something seriously is getting sidetracked for the protagonist story. Because, wasn't the tag line how the girl will manage being BDO against other roles. So if they show her failing now, standing muted and crying before everyone, will she in future manage ? For now..waiting and watching.
