Adit tells Vidya that since Antara wants her to be with her, he'd do the cooking while she could be in the kitchen with Antara and instruct him. She answers him that is all that would be needed for Taiji to call him a joru ka gulam. Adit teases her and says that won't be far from the truth. She playfully raps him as he laughs. (Hmmmm the ice is thawing….) He says why bother what anyone thinks. They move to the kitchen and he asks her where he should start. So she tells him to wash his hands. ( haha once a school marm always a school marm ). Adit starts to wear the apron but Vidya stops him…..koi dekh lega toh? Kitna darti ho? He replies and removes it. Now I don't understand why Vidya needs to carry Antara. She's also preg isn't she? She tells him to make the chana which she has soaked. First fry the onions. He starts to do as she says. But it's a task to teach a novice like him. Tsk…tsk kuch nahi ata tumhe….she says ruefully. She's looking at the door to see if anyone can see Adit cooking. And Lo! Mausi and taiji come walking down the corridor. She tells him to take Angel while she continues. So he tries to. But she won't leave her. And the two women think ….. what's going on? *Ahem ahem* What's cooking here? Taiji asks. Vidya says..dinner. Anyway, Adit asks them to go to the hall. He takes Antara to her room and leaves her to play there while he goes to sit with the gossip bags. Blah blah…….. They want to meet Amitah Bachchan……..(I am getting gripes)
The scene changes and mehendi is going on. Adit the waiter, is serving drinks. All the ladies are singing and enjoying. Vidya comes with Antara. Adit is spellbound. He can't take his eyes off Vidya (or Angel I would like to say).Mrs G sees Adit's looks towards and Vidya's blushes and she says……Oh my my! What's going on here? …. We'd like to know too.
Vidya is applying mehendi on Antara's palms when the battleaxe passes a snide remark. Antara jerks her hand off and goes away. (She's mighty fed up with the crowd and the noise) Arti starts singing…….. (and this goes on). Vidya's mother comes and is greeted by Adit and Vidya. One suspicious female comes to the function but her head is all covered. The dwarpals i.e. the sleuths at the gate (Billo and Abhi) smell a rat. Billo tries to trip her. Aha……….. the female is none other than Sameer. The boys are shocked. They say he can't go in coz it's a girl's function. He beseeches them and they relent and allow him in. The old uncles notice him and bring him into the hall. Vidya notices him and uncovers his head. He is caught and everyone has a laugh……. He whispers to Adit that he'd like to talk to him so they go out on the terrace. He tells him that Vidya had come to the bank. Adit gets nervous. Vidya comes there and Sameer asks Vidya if she had gone to the bank……….. She looks at Adit and one can see she doesn't know what to say…..
Precap: Vidya and Antara are sitting on a bench in the garden. Vdya wonders tearfully if the day will dawn when she would coming running to her calling her Ma and hug her? But Angel just looks at the sky.
