In a candid Facebook chat with TimesOfIndia.com, Anil Kapoor said, "TV is the future of everything as the content is ultimately seen on either laptop or phone. Good content, good story telling and everything, TV is the future. I am saying this today because it has happened all over the world and will happen in India as well. I had to cross many hurdles to make this show, since it is first of its kind and India has never produced such a show. We had never done television before and we wanted to give the entertainment, performance and scale of big screen. We are trying to give bigger stories than films on small screen, which wasn't happening in India, but we have started doing it with 24."
The actor when asked to compare both the seasons of 24, he said, "Both seasons had different stories. The first season was more personal and there was a single track which was to save the Prime Minister and the characters were much more sophisticated. This season's story is much more bigger, and there are the bad guys and there are certain actors who are more identifiable to the people."
"I will try to make the third season even better and bigger. The response has been unanimous and it is getting better and better after every episode," he added.
Anil Kapoor is not just playing the protagonist on the show, but is also the producer of the show. The actor also revealed that at times he puts in money from his pocket as he doesn't want his show to suffer.
He said, "People who are doing other shows on TV are still doing those 4-5 things. I as a producer am doing things which have never been done, so if someone who is the senior most in the show, the most experienced and the lead and producer of the show, I have to set an example. If I take up other work and don't give time then the team will scatter, because we are a team of more than 250 people and to motivate them and to keep the channel excited I have to work with all dedication. Sometimes I give money from my pocket because I don't want any compromises on the show."
The Jhakaas actor also revealed that Shabana Azmi, who was a part of the first season will return to this one as well and viewers will witness some new entries, some twists and turns in the upcoming episodes. (As told to Vijaya Tiwari)
