I think in Indian society all the money a child makes while living at home goes to the expenses towards the house. So I think Manju has all of Simi's money.............

In any case I don't see her doing much work though, may be she has taken off because she is getting married. Well wilful suspension of disbelief is any case the order of the day where serials etc are concerned right?

What I don't understand though is why everyone single-mindedly wants Abhi to support Simi?

Simi works and she can do the needful can't she? At least to tide over this difficult period and till Abhi who is more than qualified finds a job!!!

What's all this nonsense about Simi having to sell her mobile etc??????? A professor even if temporary (is she??) in one of the best colleges of Delhi University will certainly have the means to afford renting a flat methinks!!

i think,simi's being lecturer was only a medium of portraying some romantic or lovable scenes between abhi and simi like-gifting joker,ringing the bell,rushing here and there in college,abhi having electric shock,etc....!!!!! whenever abhi and simi want some love in air then they used to go back to college ....they both had taken one class-room from college as a rent..!!!!🤣

They already added that dialogue yesterday when he says...pati mai hoon,mard mai hoon, jo mai decide karoonga, wohi sab hoga.

Simi has to support him till he manages to find a job because i would say she is 90% responsible for the mess they are in.

She prevented calling off Nakul's proposal. Obviously Nakul has reason to be angry for getting dragged to an unwanted marriage. So Abhi's job is gone

Apart from that his 4 years part time earnings was his jeep which he sold for the ring and she provoked him to burn that including 10,000/- rupees.

So Abhi was also little impulsive in burning these if he was still sure he is not giving up on this woman.

Both are at fault.

At that time neither of them knew (including us) that they would be homeless and walking the streets. I think it would be comical for them to have their first arguement over who is to blame for burning the stuff and then Simi telling him that he burned their memorabilias and her finally acknowledging that Abhi has sold his car for her ring.
