I got a glimpse of the show (still have not seen the whole episode), and was amazed at all the education Simi suddenly acquired. Damn! She's really smart and acts like a dope. But with all that education she only works part-time at the college? And exactly what does she have it in? I am curious. Braiding hair? You'd think she'd find herself a better paying job so she would not have to borrow 10,000 rupees from Abhi or have to sell her books to pay for her sister's abortion.
With all that education and she still has to live at home and put up with all the stuff that goes on? She should have packed her bags and moved out, she'd have survived. Girl needs to let her hair down and party. She's way too frigid.

Laila even I thought the same with all that brilliant education background why is she teaching as an intern in a college or a temporary person!!
She could be in a executive position or atleast she would be in a high paid job and earning a lot !!

She was'nt stopped from working as she was doing it ever since the show started so how come she is not doing well career...

The Cv's want to show that she is very intelligent but she is incapable of deciding whom she needs in her life and her mom's taunts of her being FAT, aging and not getting married made her like what she is and till Abhi came and shook her she could'nt speak up to what she wanted and whom she wanted to spend her life !!

This goes to pressure from her dad RS to make her realize that

I too had the same doubt , in a different thread I had mentioned it also, that if she is so much educated y is she so bholi bhali. but lastly RS says she is like this because of Manju. She has been lioke this coz of manjus taunting., but its true when someone taunts u every now and then ultimately u will be like that .

Shanti,
I have an answer for that ... maybe she was just pass in all those years of her education. RS does mention she kept studying .. but he never told she was 1st in class or something😉
I haven't seen the initial episodes.. maybe this is her 1st job and initially everyone is on temporary basis for a few months before they are made permanent. Thats how it was for me at my 1st job. Not sure if lecturers have to go through the same or not.

You have to pass written examination for getting into Ph.D.In any Indian university, there are seats reserved for Open category and reservation candidates. This usually accounts to 2-3 seats for each category. Hence one has to be smart enough to pursue Ph.D
At least till 5 years back, students were admitted based on 3 rounds of interviewing and drilling by panel of supervisors.
Students clearing CSIR or UGC exams are directly admitted with scholarship. And passing these is strictly on merit.
Some students who still prefer to pursue by being non-stipendiary (involves lot of expense), still have to clear entrance exam and interview.
In view of Simi being at Delhi University, she should have either of these talent.
Students work as part time lecturer the same time that they pursue part time Ph.D.

Laila yeh serial land hai yahan sab kuch possible hai,
They get degrees overight MA becmes double Ma and double mA becomes phD within few minutes.
Not only that 28 year old becomes 30 in few days and 24 becomes 22 at the same time.😉
oh yes and I forgot ro mention 22 yead old becomes MBA when most 21 or 22 year old graduates with BA degree.
Looks like CV has magical powers we all can use sometimes.😆😆
So true if simi has so much education why is she being controlled by mother like manju and being fooled by every aira gaira natthu khera and cries at the littlest discomfort to a man she calls bachcha and ask him to help her.
Such highly educated women stand on their feet and be example to others in society by being smart witty and brave.
Yes why did she have to sell her books for 10000? does n't she know the meaning of saving money for bad times.

i agree about age and things happening.
But I think was like yes I am even getting a better deal He truly loves and admires simi and knowing she is even more educated he is more pleased. Men have this feeling of owning, possesion and abhi feels that way about simi in a nicer way . such men feels better when their wives/ lovers are praised for their superiority. But then we have other kinds who feels jealous and inferior at any such subject mentioned.
