kitchen scene 2...

the most unconvincing scene between these two ever... perhaps broad day light is not suited to their romance... she just went all cold on him...
and dare I say not one of Neil's best work...a tad forced and awkward!!
what does simi want anyway? not Abhi by the looks of it ... coz she aint doing much about it! ....

Completely agree. I actually wanted the scene to end it was so bad. I felt no chemistry, no romance. I know a lot of people liked the previous kitchen scene, but that didn't do much for me, but this didn't do anything.
For me the Abhi-Simi jodi has lost it's magic. Abhi is just too insecure and a big baby. Simi is one cold hearted mean girl who is acting as though she's the "it" girl. I am now watching a totally different show.

i agree with this...the chemistry was more intense during the RB phase..RB..who i think is seriously a great actor( and if he is like that in real life..i should look for a shoe..to fit the foot that would be in my mouth)...but now..i get the feel that the writers are not able to get a handle on building the moment..the ones that give happy shivers..types!!

i was one of those guilty of liking the previous kitchen scene, independant of everything else, but following the above menioned fiacso i think its safe to say that its all wilting before it ever bloomed... everything was just too de rigueur... i think, i've just crossed over your side,... although the romantic in me hopes they can still salvage this!

how about we give them a chance to bring it back from the dead... a mighty difficult task it maybe... they've dug themselves into deepholes in more places than one!
i think the show might have been a victim of its own brilliant beginings and all the promise and potential it had! perhaps they courted a different audience than the run of the milll soaps (conjecture, i aint no expert there!) and now that very idea has blown up in their faces!

Firstly I think Abhi's prank was really silly. I mean why did he do that? Even if he spoilt the dish, did he ever think that Simi could have been blamed for it and everyone would be upset at her ? .. I wouldn't imagine seeing my loved one to face embarrassment/insult cuz of my act.. So I don't quite understand the need for Abhi to do that, it just worsens the image of his character now...

Moving on to Simi... Where do I start from? .. First you are shown to be crazily in love with someone. When you're upset and down, just talking to him makes you feel a glimpse of heaven on Earth.. And when you can't talk to him, your day seems to be awful without him... Where's that love gone ?? All I see now is a girl who doesn't have that much confidence to get on her feet and stop the alliance with Nakul. Okay I don't mind if she can't do that, but now everytime she sees Abhi...First thing on her mind "ABHI, kya kar rahe ho...Koi dekh lega" She is not the least bit grateful/delighted to see him. Does she realize that Abhi is taking every little opportunity just to see her face ? Just to be with her... Now Abhi is in pain, it's killing him on the inside to have his cousin marry Simi. Does Simi care?? Noooo ..She's too busy on Nitu ...Fine she's your sister and it's your duty to help her...But what about Abhi ? Can't you also spare some time for him ... And during that time.. Make the most of it? ... Especially when Abhi feels stressed and bad about this Nakul thing...Can't she even hold his hands in hers and assure him everything will be alright...You have me and as long as we're together ..We can face any obstacles... Love gives power...It doesn't make you weak and there's nothing to be ashamed of...Age is not a big deal. But what makes me think now is...Does Simi even love Abhi at all? She isn't the least bit concerned about the dillema Abhi is going through...She doesn't even TALK to him properly...I agree Laila there's just too much eye-contact...Where are the words??? Everytime she sees him..It's like she wants him to leave quickly and not to stay... Then again I don't mind if the scene is short... It has to be touching.. Even in the shortest time..Say the sweetest and most sensible things.. 'Sigh... Simi has to change and Abhi...WAKE UP ..If she doesn't care, you walk away ... You only realize one's value after it's gone =.=
