Salman has made a good start. but not sure if % game will be interesting enough to bring back viewers week after week. Salman sure has his own persona which will enable sampling. but content will be key in the wrong run. what might also go against him is that he is not as warm and friendly like SRK. Already poeple are saying that he does not appear comfortable
The launch of Junnon and Laughter Challenge on the same time slot will lead to hamorgiagn of viewers but that will affect all concerned. Not sure if panchvi pass will be able to recover from the hammerign it took due to ipl in this cluttered space
Supportere may say it's a tried and test format. But then again paanchvi was also a hit in the states and we all know that srk has himself admitted that it has failed
Such show are very huge investment hence returns have to be good to justify investement. It's is speculated that SET has payed around 89CR to Salman for 102 episodes . But then again even if they dont recover the full amount they can atleast funnel a large no of eye ball to the fiction show which are supposed to be bread and butter of GEC channels
SET is always known to be a channel which excel in reality show and not fiction . The network had advantage of havign ipl vieweership which it hopes retain for dus ka dum.
And if this show click they would hope to get their fiction space right. According to a senior set executive they are still looking for the correct fiction idea
