Zeeshan Khan: I did not get a chance to redeem myself while people got multiple chances

Zeeshan Khan was ousted from the Lock Upp house on ground of violence. The actor, though apologised for what he did, had to bear the consequences of his actions and as a result, is now out of the jail. He got talking to India Forums about what went inside the house and his equation with Azma, in the first place. He also spoke about his girlfriend's reaction to his ousting, and if he thinks the reality shows he has been a part of will affect his career in any manner.

On Azma and everything that went through inside the house...

When I just entered the show, Azma and I were on good terms, and then I realised she had no game and her only game was to target other people, talk dirty and say the filthiest things about people. She tried it with me when she threw my shoes in 'kaala paani' and I reacted to it and it was done and dusted there. I knew how to handle it and take care of it and I knew how I wanted to play my game. In the second week, the attacks became more personal, and they were so filthy, for a person to listen to it day and night. 

Her comments got disgusting and more vile with each passing day. It came on my parents and my girlfriend, she said things in a way where she was trying to insinuate things about my girlfriend. My mom, who is sick, she told me that when you go out, you parents would be dead, and to use such statements, it destroys your heart and your brain. She said how your parents touch my parents' feet and beg them and eat. If such things were told me, it wasn't told just once, twice, or thrice, it was in a span of two weeks, and after listening to it for 2 weeks, that's when my reaction came. I am not saying it is right, but I am also human.

What was your girlfriend Rehyna's reaction?

When I called her up, she was worried for me and she asked me how are you. I was very low, and I couldn't understand what has happened because even after apologising, I wasn't given a chance. I was really low. She was at shoot and I went to her and I hugged her and she told me that I am proud of you and the way you played your game. She said that the way you reacted was extreme and you should've controlled your anger, but it is understandable in a place where you lose your mind every second. As a normal person, I wouldn't have taken it for a day, you took it for two weeks, and other than that, you played a really good game. 

Do you think you career would have any effect post ousting from two reality shows?

Why would it affect my career? People saw that I wasn't in the wrong, attacks had happened on me first. In this show also, some people feel that what I did was wrong and I agree, but I did not get a chance to redeem myself while people got multiple chances to redeem themselves even without an apology. I stood for people who couldn't defend themselves and people see that. 

Meanwhile, Karanvir Bohra was also out of the house owing to less votes, while Shivam Sharma has become the first finalist of Lock Upp's very first season.
