Yuvika Chaudhary found herself in quite a fix a while ago when the actor would not have anticipated being indulged in a massive controversy mouthing a word - which was a casteist slur. And in the same case, Chaudhary was arrested on Monday after being booked under the SC/ST Act. But later, she was granted interim bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Chaudhary is already back in Mumbai and talking about the saga with ETimes TV, she said, "I didn't know until a few days ago that a case had been filed against me. When I got a notice, I was in Pune shooting for a project. I had to leave everything and go for the investigations. As a law-abiding citizen of India, law comes above everything else for me and hence I travelled immediately to Haryana. There the police asked me several questions and they even have the phone through which the video was uploaded. I am back in Mumbai now but I hope everything gets sorted soon."

She also mentioned that there are many important issues in the country which need to be addressed and she has to pay a price for being a public figure. She said, “Six months ago too I had said that I didn’t use the word for any one and I didn’t even know the meaning of it. I can never do such a thing. But now since it has happened, I can only apologize as much as I can.

On husband Prince Narula, she said, "He is my partner and he has been there with me through out this entire process. Him being there has made things really easy for me and I am glad that I have him as my husband."

We hope this saga is done and dusted as of now.

BlackWitch 1 months ago Yuvika is right. She is paying the price for being a public figure. Nowadays, people get so offended over things at the drop of a hat.

She apologised humbly, made a whole video about it but some people are just out for blood.

I have heard the word “bhangi” being casually tossed out since school. Never knew it was a casteist slur. Even if she used it with full knowledge, her apology on video and in papers should have been enough. Aren’t there better and bigger issues to worry over?
