YRKKH's Rahul Sharma says he is yet to bond with costar Samridhii Shukla: 'Abhira thodi si..'

Rahul Sharma, who has recently entered Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit starrer Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Anshuman, is no new name in the entertainment industry. The actor, best known for his stint in shows like Kaal Bhairav- Ek Rahasya and more has joined the cast of YRKKH opposite Samridhii Shukla who essays the female lead of the show.

In an exclusive chat with India Forums, Rahul opened up on his offscreen bonds on the sets of the show. The actor stated that he has bonded quite well with Rohit Purohit on the show, however, he has not been able to bond that well with Samridhii Shukla yet.

''Main ye kahunga ke dekho bond toh abhi chalu hua hai bann na. Ek mahine mein koi bond nahi banta, 15 din mein koi bond nahi banta. Almost 2-3 mahine aapko chaiye hote hai jahan par aap ek dusre ke sath kuch achi cheezein, baatein share karte ho,'' says Rahul. (I would say that the bond has just started to form. A bond doesn’t form in a month, or in 15 days. It usually takes around 2–3 months, where you start sharing good moments and conversations with each other.)

Further opening up on developing a good bond with Rohit Purohit, the actor said, ''Rohit ke sath mera acha conversation raha. Abhi 3-4 dino pehle humari bahut achi baat huyi. I literally admire him, usne bhi bahut mehnat ki hai yaar. Usne apne zindagi mein ache characters kiye, usko bhi jis chiz ka wait tha wo mila hai is show ke sath itne time ke baad. I told him that I am really happy about how you are doing and I am happy with the space that you are in, so god bless you.'' (I had a good conversation with Rohit. Just 3–4 days ago, we had a really nice talk. I literally admire him; he has worked very hard too. He’s played some great characters in his career, and what he had been waiting for, he has finally received with this show after such a long time. I told him that I’m really happy about how you’re doing and I’m happy with the space you’re in, so God bless you.)

The actor had also opened up on receiving a warm welcome by Anita Raaj on his first day of the show.

Earlier speaking about losing out on 8-9 shows in a row, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame said, ''Phir uske baad aur kharab daur aaya, jisme sab kuch hi chuth gaya and it was not just about work. Aap har ek show se nikale jaa rahe ho, nikale bhi as in, aapko le liya gaya hai, aap kal shoot kar ne wale ho, aap ke paas message aaya bhi aagaya hai, lekin aapko pata chalta hai ke dusra banda aagaya hai, aap ke sath shoot nahi kiya aur achanak se shoot, kyun hua aisa? Agar ye aap ke sath ek show mein ho toh samajh aata hai ke chalo yaar hua hoga. But 8 se 9 shows mein aap ke sath aisi cheezein continuous ho toh aap ekdum shocked reh jaate ho ke kyun ho raha hai? Aisa kya kar raha hoon main? Matlab main toh khud ko pura jhonk raha hoon, but fir bhi nahi horaha hai?''

For the uninformed, Rahul entered Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai after the show headed for a 7 year leap recently. Following the leap, the story line of the show and the dynamics between the characters have changed too. While Abhira and Armaan have parted ways, Armaan along with daughter Maira has stayed away from Abhira for all these years.
