Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Maira reunites with Abhira as Pookie, calls her ‘Mumma’ for the first time

In tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Abhira manages to enter the house and begins looking around anxiously for Maira. Armaan is confused, asking why she's there so suddenly. But Abhira firmly tells him that she has come to take her daughter Maira back with her, leaving everyone stunned.

Armaan, taken aback, asks how she found out the truth. That's when Anshuman steps forward and admits that he told Abhira everything after discovering the truth himself. Armaan, in defence, says he thought she already knew, as he believed he had told her everything at the hospital. Anshuman says that's the reason he fled Udaipur and brought Maira here. Armaan immediately denies this and says he returned to Mount Abu only so he could reunite Maira with her mother. He asks Abhira to trust him, but she ignores him and resumes searching every corner of the house, calling out Maira's name loudly and saying that her mother has finally come to take her home.

Abhira is overwhelmed with anger and heartbreak. She confronts Armaan and demands to know where her daughter is. Armaan asks for some time and promises that he will explain everything to their Maira first and then send her to Abhira. But Abhira loses her temper at the way he refers to Maira as "their daughter." She reminds him that for the past seven years, she was only his daughter, and now suddenly, he wants to call her theirs. She firmly says Maira is only hers now. She blames Armaan for keeping Maira away from her all these years and tells him to bring her daughter to her in seven minutes. Armaan immediately sets off to bring Maira as the clock begins ticking.

In the next scene, Maira is happily walking back home with Armaan. She expresses her joy at seeing him and asks about the injury he suffered. Armaan checks the time and realises only three minutes are left. Meanwhile, back at the house, Abhira looks through Maira's belongings, her clothes, schoolbooks, and drawings pinned to the walls. Her eyes well up with tears.

Abhira gets emotional thinking about how she missed every important moment of Maira's early life, her first words, first steps, birthdays, first day at school, and even her dance competition. She wonders who will make up for all this time she lost. She feels that Maira grew up without her mother and holds Armaan responsible for this.

Back with Maira, Armaan gently makes her sit down and lovingly watches her. Maira notices his silence and asks why he's so quiet. Armaan then shows her a pair of bangles that her real mother had given her when she was a baby. Maira sweetly tells him that she's a grown-up now and they won't fit. Armaan tells her not to worry as her real mother will now buy her new ones. He then tells her that her birth mother has come to meet her. Maira is surprised and asks if that's true. Armaan nods and says her mother has been looking for her for years. Maira then curiously asks if her mother was searching for her like how Abhira was looking for someone called Pookie. Armaan says yes.

At the house, Abhira breaks down. Anshuman tries to comfort her, but she tells him to let her cry this time. She reflects on how deeply she loved Armaan and how she once believed he was suffering like her. But now, she realises he was happily living with their daughter while she suffered alone. She feels betrayed.

At that very moment, Maira hears someone crying and asks Armaan if that voice belongs to her real mother. She runs inside to check. Meanwhile, Abhira senses that Maira is near. She wipes her tears and prepares herself to face her daughter.

As Maira walks towards her, Geetanjali tries to stop her. But Dadu intervenes and allows Maira to go ahead. Maira gently places her hand on Abhira’s shoulder and addresses her as her real mother, though she still hasn't seen Abhira's face, who is turned away. Soon, Abhira turns around, sees her daughter, and smiles with love. Maira is stunned seeing her.

Armaan watches from behind as Abhira lovingly kisses Maira and hugs her tightly. Meanwhile, witnessing the heartfelt reunion between mother and daughter, even Anshuman gets emotional, along with Armaan and the rest of the family. Abhira affectionately greets Maira, calling her "my baby" and "my Pookie." Maira, still in disbelief, looks at her and asks if she is her real mother. Abhira, with tears in her eyes, nods and tells her that now she cannot imagine spending even a second without her. She holds Maira close, sits her on her lap, kisses her, and expresses how amazed she is at how much she's grown. Abhira lovingly admires her daughter's eyes, hair, and tiny fingers, and removes the evil eye.

She says that people believe fairies live in the sky, but her fairy is right here in front of her. She hugs her tightly again and tells Maira how much she missed her. She also tells her how she searched everywhere for her Pookie.

Maira sweetly says that after meeting Abhira, she always had a feeling her real mother would be someone just like her, extremely pretty, sweet, and kind. Abhira replies that Maira is even more beautiful and adorable than how she had imagined her Pookie to be.

Abhira then starts crying and says that God gave her so many signs, but she failed to recognise her daughter. She apologises for not realising the truth earlier. She tells Maira that she had once lost her in a box and fate brought her back through another box, yet she still didn't recognise her. She says her heart always felt a strong urge to hold her in her arms and never let go, but it took her too long to understand why. She expresses regret for scolding Maira when she had dressed as Pookie earlier.

Maira lovingly tells her that it's alright, and Abhira smiles and thanks her. They continue having a heartfelt conversation. Abhira then says they've stayed apart for too long, and from now on, she will never let her daughter go away again. Maira asks if that means Abhira will be moving to Mount Abu.

Abhira then expresses her desire to take Maira with her to Udaipur. Maira happily assumes that Armaan, Geetanjali, and Dadu would also move there. However, Armaan wants to speak to Maira alone. Maira insists that the conversation should happen in front of everyone, but Armaan requests privacy and leads her away.

Inside, Maira is surprised to see Armaan packing her things. She asks him what's happening. Armaan gently tells her that she has to go with her mother. Maira, taken aback, says she thought they would all live together. Armaan clarifies that only she will be leaving. Heartbroken, Maira refuses to go and asks him if he really wants to send her away. Armaan emotionally tells her she must leave.

Both Armaan and Maira are overwhelmed with emotion. Abhira tries to console Maira and tells her to come along, but Maira runs away. Anshuman, Dadu, and Geetanjali run after her. Before Abhira can follow, Armaan stops her. He says he'll send over Maira's medical documents soon and begins telling her about Maira's habits and preferences. Overcome with pain and fury, Abhira slaps Armaan.

Later, Abhira serves Maira her favorite food, but Maira says she prefers Geetanjali’s cooking. Abhira feels like an outsider in her own daughter’s life. Armaan silently vows to help bridge the gap between Abhira and Maira.
