What's in a name yaar!

It’s neither new nor any trendsetting hathke experiment to talk about different films with same name. It has been the same since the happy birthday of the industry. But all the biggies of Bollywood must be experiencing the release of two different films on the same date and that even with similar names for the first time in the history of Bollywood.

You are absolutely right; we are talking about Yash Raj film’s Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic and Sahil Chadha’s Thodi Life Thoda Magic. While Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic is showcasing Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee, Thodi Life Thoda Magic has Jackie Sroff and Arbaaz Khan to fight the same day releases. And it’s not the actors but the stories also that don’t match with each other. But then what’s the chakkar with names?

Sources reveal that Sahil Chadha has blamed the director of Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic, Kunal Kohli, of using the name that he had registered much in advance. The issue soon lands at the court but to avail no result. Sounds better as it seems like both the parties have settled down on the line ‘what’s in a name’ and as it was previously fixed, both the films will release on 27th June.

Now everything should only be dependant on the stories and treatments of those stories. Audience will only decide what to choose from between ‘Life’ and ‘Love’. And again, it will only be the content that will decide the future of the films and never the labels.
