Welcoming Iccha to television...

COLORS is gearing up for the launch of their twin shows, Film Farm’s Uttaran and Cinevistaas’ Jaane Kya Baat Hui, starting December 1st, Monday at the 10 and 10.30 PM slots respectively!!

Talking about Uttaran to Telly Buzz is, Rupali Guha, Creative Director, Film Farm who says, “Uttaran is the story of the girl Iccha, a struggler and a fighter to the core, who puts up a smile on her face all the time”.

Talking about the young girl playing the protagonist, Rupali states “Iccha is an extremely bright talent and we are blessed to have her acting in this show”.

This unique saga of an underprivileged child who wishes to change her fate and live happily is sure to keep the audience glued. “We have attempted to churn out a very interesting, yet realistic plot to the viewers. We have worked really hard on the subject which has gone thro’ a lot of metamorphosis in the past few months”, says Rupali.

On the fact that Uttaran faces huge competition from COLORS’ present top TRP raker Balika Vadhu, in terms of having kids as protagonists of the show, Rupali brushes it off saying, “Comparisons with Balika Vadhu start and end at the point where a child is the main protagonist in both shows. As far as the subject, ambiance, back drop of Uttaran are concerned all is so very different from Balika Vadhu. This is an earnest attempt from us to give the audience something unique, and it is for them to decide now”.
