Indian television has given us  some wonderful actors who have won accolades by their remarkable performance in shows. As this year comes to an end and we are going to make a fresh start and so TellyBuzz has thought of featuring some top senior actresses who have contributed a lot being part of the industry for more than a decade for now.

Sarita Joshi has been doing a fabulous job in Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi or we would say no one can take their eyes off when she enacts the role of Baa in the show. It was a different experience to see her in a positive role in Baa Bahu Aur Baby, she has also been part of Bollywood by doing a critically acclaimed movie Guru.

Who can forget Savita Tai (Usha Nadkarni) of Pavitra Rishta? Her funny actions and naughtiness has grabbed eyeballs of many to the show. Also she has entertained us by doing show like Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasmaan, Kuchh Iss Tara, Virrudh, Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal and more. She stands out differently in the industry with the kind of acting.

The South Indian Amma, Neena Kulkarni cannot be excluded from this list. The way she speaks in a South Indian accent in Ye Hai Mohabattein is quite noticable. She has a list of movies in her kitty along with shows like Kayamath ,Baa Bahu Aur Baby, Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai.

You all must be waiting for the veteran actress to make a comeback on television and recently we all came to know that she is coming back with Rashmi Sharma's show on Zee & yes we are talking about Aroona Irani. She has always been the sweetest Saas or Maa of television, her role and acting skills in Colors show Sanskaar- Dharohar Apnon Ki is commendable.

Well here comes your favorite Dadisa Surekha Sikri, she gives a very good example of a strong lady in Balika Vadhu. In Balika Vadhu itself she has shown us different shades earlier she was strict dadi and now she is seen as a cute dadi.

Apara Mehta has always played loving and caring saas of television and we feel that she has never failed in her job. Recently she is seen in Jamai Raja and its always entertaining to watch her. She is still remembered for her roles in Khichdi and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Lastly we feature veteran actress Farida Jalal who is currently seen in Satrangi Sasural, apart from her fantastic Bollywood career she has also given a bang on performance on small screen with shows like Shararat, Ammaji Ki Galli, Dekh Bhai Dekh and more.
