Avika Gor gets engaged: Actress says ‘yes’ to former MTV Roadies contestant Milind Chandwani in dreamy style

Television actress Avika Gor, known for her breakthrough role as Anandi in Balika Vadhu, is now engaged to her partner of six years, Milind Chandwani. Milind first came into the spotlight as a contestant on MTV’s Roadies Real Heroes in 2019. The couple recently held their roka ceremony, and Avika shared glimpses of the celebration on social media, along with a heartfelt note expressing her emotional reaction to the proposal.

Avika took to Instagram on June 11, 2025, posting two photographs from their intimate ceremony. She wore a light pink silk saree adorned with a silver border and delicate multi-coloured motifs, opting for minimal makeup and open hair. Milind complemented her look in an ivory sherwani with a sleeveless jacket that had subtle pink detailing. The couple was seen sharing a light moment in one picture, and in another, Avika kissed Milind on the cheek as he held her close.

In the caption, Avika described how she responded when Milind proposed. “He asked.. I smiled, I cried (in that order) and screamed the easiest YES of my life!” she wrote, calling the moment filmy yet real. “He’s logic, calm, and ‘let’s carry a first-aid kit just in case.’ I manifest drama. He manages it.” Milind replied with a witty comment: “Plot Twist: The real background music was my heartbeat going at 200 BPM… Tu drama hai, main direction, aao best picture banaein.”

Avika had previously opened up about their relationship in a conversation with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa. She mentioned the six-year age gap and clarified that they had not rushed into the decision. “We were friends for months before we made things official,” she had shared. She also said she considers herself “married in the head” even before formalising it.

There were past rumours of Avika being romantically linked to her Sasural Simar Ka co-star, Manish Raisinghan. She later addressed it in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, calling it an awkward phase. Both actors mutually decided to maintain distance after the speculation.

Avika and Milind’s roka seems to mark a new chapter, one grounded in years of understanding and quiet growth.
