Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor’s 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' Gets a New Release Date

The much-awaited romantic entertainer Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, has a new theatrical release date. The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan, will now hit the big screens on September 12, 2025. Originally set for release on April 18, the film has been postponed due to undisclosed reasons.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is one of the most talked-about films of the year. It marks the second collaboration between Varun and Janhvi after their successful pairing in Bawaal (2023). The film is expected to be a fun-filled romantic entertainer with a mix of comedy and drama.

Apart from the lead pair, the film boasts a talented supporting cast, including Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi. The project is backed by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan under the banner of Dharma Productions.

In the clip, Varun jokingly introduced the characters of Sunny and Sanskari while keeping the identity of Tulsi Kumari a mystery. He said, “Guys, we are on the sets of Sunny Sanskari. Tulsi Kumari, we can’t reveal right now. But Sunny & Sanskari are here.”

This playful interaction has left fans even more curious about Janhvi Kapoor’s character in the film. Apart from Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Varun Dhawan is also working on Border 2, a high-octane war drama directed by Anurag Singh. The film will see Sunny Deol reprising his legendary role, alongside Varun, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.
